Comment:

Has you turn in and attendence pass at the end of each class worth 1 point, so make sure you do not miss a lot of class. If you pay close attention you should be fine. Seems to get a bit irritated when questions are asked while he's teaching due to the fact it takes away class time. I'd recommend asking any question you have before/after class.

Great professor. He has control of his classroom and commands respect for himself as well as fellow students. This is not the professor to take if you are a slacker or like to text message during class; however, if you want to truly learn, pay attention in class, and commit yourself to studying, you will do very well in Dr. Aly's economics classes.

This dude sucks! Poor classroom prep...missed 1/4 of classes to do his real job...short temper...no time to do in class assignments...ridiculous take home final...50 multiple choice, 10 T F,and another 6 pages of charts and diagrams. Only half was taught in class Very stuck on himself!

This class is difficult. The power points are not detailed at all. It's just a list of what he covers in class so it is no help-doesn't follow book. He snaps when people ask him questions or don't understand. Goes very fast so it's hard to take notes. Expect a lot of group work and a presentation at the end. Too bad, he seems to be very smart!

You have to turn in attendance sheets to earn points in his class. He is very knowledgeable no doubt, but needs to work on his people skills. His power points aren't that detailed but he also doesn't follow the book that he said we HAVE to buy. Makes the class hard. There's lots of group work so sit by people you like to work with that won't slack.

Overall, good professor. Very nice how he puts everything on Carmen. I got through the class with an A and didn't have a textbook, just printed out and studied his powerpoints. If you can't figure out homework, search online; most of his course material is from a set. The take home final was great.

One of my favorite professors. Very friendly and easy going. The class isn't, too hard but does take some studding to get a good grade. Everything is on Carmen. Very helpful if you need it. He keeps it interesting and rarely keeps you the whole class period. I would defiantly recommend Econ with Dr. Aly.
