Hendershot is the greatest Media Studies professor I've taken thus far. Nobody will ever top her at Queens College.. With that being said, I wish her all the best at MIT. I feel sorry for whoever didn't get the chance to meet one of the smartest individuals QC had to offer.

if u like to torture yourself, take her. cuz she will give you quiz every two wks. and assign you another over 50 double-page pdf reading every wk. no outline in class at all, and she just non-stop talking talking talking. Alright, i am ESL student, but i totally CAN NOT stand it. i spent all my time on the reading n getting nothing!!!

Although she talks fast and conveys A LOT of information at a time, it is interesting stuff. There is no textbook but she posts all the reading material. Prereading is a MUST, it will help to understand the class much better and help to do well on the quizzes. Attendance required. Provides reveiw sheet for tests. Be prepared to work a little.

What can I say, she is a very interesting and good professor (I like her hair style). The class had no textbook but a lot of hard but fasinating readings. She gives quizzes and there are two tests, you must prepare well for class (no free rides). I worked my butt off and got a A+ (fall 06') I would take her again.

STAY AWAY! do anything u can to avoid this woman. she gives the stupidest quizzes every 2 weeks. its a fight to keep awake every week, and im not one to sleep in classes, but in this one its inevitable. and i dunno who in the world she thinks she is with that hair, but it aint workin' this class is a complete waste of time. SHE SUCKS!!!

WORST PROFESSOR EVER! Gives way to much reading assignments and gives a quiz on them every 2 weeks--a quiz that only has five questions. Her teaching method sucks, talks way to fast, mumbles on and on, jumps from one thing to another so you cant possibly take notes even if you tried. Her grading sucks you'll be lucky to just get a D in that class

Class is interesting. The way she lectures is not. Very dry material assumes everyone is crazy about silent films like she is. The exams are tricky. Gives a great deal of reading. She makes this class more tedius and extensive than it needs to be. If you want to enjoy silent films find another professor, otherwise you will leave with a headache

she gave hard pop quizzes, grades very unfairly,treats the class as if they are in the first gradewhen she hears students talking. In my opinion, she is a very bad teacher. I took the class over with professor Lenert and got an A. Hendershot however gave me a D.
