Comment:

Ive had Holly for Honors Bio AND my Honors Seminar class and she's ehhh... She's a nice woman and has good intentions but she seems to be kinda confused at times like with her due dates or understanding what question you're asking her in class. She also doesn't really teach much in class, just does review things. Basically you have to read the book

Comment:

I had Professor Morris for an online class this summer and she was great! Her assignments and their due dates stayed consistent with the syllabus + she responded to any questions you had in a timely manner. The textbook played a key role in this class, but she also had an outline for each chapter. Read the chapters each week and you should be fine!

Holly's lecture are kind of boring and monotone, and she doesn't even cover all of the material that is on the test. There are a lot of small group projects and pop-quizzes on each chapter. If you want to pass, you will most likely have to read a lot of the book.

Comment:

Holly Morris is a no. I'd give her a 2-10. She is very dull in her lectures and makes the class boring. Her tests and quizzes are difficult. My class the highest grade on one test was a 76%. If you are looking for a Bio teacher i suggest to stay clear from Professor Morris

Comment:

In class lecture is more scientific discussion than book material. Be prepared to self-teach book chapters a bit. Gives great reviews and essay prompts for tests, but the exams are LONG and include everything. Wrong answers are reviewed with classmates. Truly rewarding course, and knowledgeable professor. Will take Morris again if possible.

Prof Morris is a nice person but she shouldnt be a teacher. She skims through difficult material so be prepared to teach yourself everything. She makes life even more difficult by giving quizzes every week, but not telling you which days they will be on. The only positive is that if everyone is doing bad she will curve. I dont recommend her.

I switched my major to Biology after taking Prof. Morris for a couple classes. I worked very hard the first semester. After that everything fell into place. I would recommend her classes.

I skipped several classes and was still able to received a nice grade by making up with participation. I really appreciate how the professor replaces one of your three exams with a section on the final. I disliked that the final had 122 multiple choice questions, 4 essays, and 2 hours to do it all. And you're not allowed to keep previous exams.

Tests are impossible. You really have to know your stuff or you won't pass. Half of the class is failing. Lectures are extremely boring.

Don't miss class, pay attention, participate. She tells you the test essays ahead of time, if you listen. She's not the most entertaining speaker, but she knows what she's talking about. You HAVE to read the book and do the work, but it will be worth it when your transfer. I did better in biochem than some classmates cuz I had the basics.

Hard! She's the reason I wnat to switch my major completely. She made me hate biology. She literally stands there and reads off premade powerpoints. Her tests are so crammed with info. Pretty much everyone in my class is failing.

This is a class where you had to be prepared to read and actually do the homework assignments. If you slacked in the beginning because the topics were "easy" but you didn't really get it, you paid for it towards the end. She is always there to help in her office hours but you have to take the initiative to seek help. I personally learned a lot.

First science class I thoroughly enjoyed! I took the Honors section Bio course, looking to push myself, and the class was fairly easy. Only difference for honors is a chapter a week from a separate book. Class is discussion based; she really pushes you to make connections and predictions. Information is very straight forward. I'd recommend!

Tough, yes. Disorganized, no. She knows exactly what she's doing. Very knowledgeable, but expects you to think for yourself. She will spend as much time as you need outside of class. Very patient.

Class was ok though confusing how sometimes her lecture powerpoints material doesn't help much for the test neither do the objectives she gives you. pretty much read the chapters.. She does have other assignments like a project and 2 papers and a few quizzes to help with grade if you don't do good on test taking. Her final exam is open notes.

VERY HARD CLASS. The tests will literally cover EVERYTHING from the chapters covered in vivid detail. Multiple choice questions are confusing to understand. I had to read over them a few times each to understand. She definately knows what shes talking about, but wow are her tests detailed beyond belief. YOU BETTER GET STUDYING NOW!
