Mediocre teacher, really nice guy and really accessible outside of class time but his lecture notes and teaching doesn't seem to contribute much and you end up having to teach yourself the content by reverse engineering textbook problems

Comment:

Professor Hussein is the best Prof I have ever met. In my 15 years of different undergrad and grad programs, he is by far the best teacher, mentor, and leader. He is expert in his field and is a very well accomplished scholar. Yet he is humble and empathetic. The best quality of him is his optimism that I value more than his knowledge. Recommended!

Hussein is an amazing professor very understanding and helps out when you visit his office hours. Very sweet man and understanding. Course is heavy content so one must study alot as it is a tax course

Comment:

Hussein not only makes the very difficult content more confusing than it needs to be, he also barely holds any office hours and is very imprecise and all over the place at teaching. Since he is the only one teaching 423, it is a very unfortunate situation. I have not had this much headache and mental pain taking a class than 423 with Hussein.

The class itself is not that difficult but the structure and Hussein's chaotic lectures make it harder than it needs to be. Don't worry about going to class just put a lot of effort into the assignments (which you only have one week to do and takes 20+ hours) as the exams are really similar.

The course is very hard and confusing, but Hussein grades it very fairly and gives part marks. Hussein is the great and really cares about what hes teaching, dont be afraid to go to his office hours or talk to him after class

Great prof, makes things straight forward and marks SO EASILY. You can finish a midterm feeling like you barely knew what you were doing and get an A. Work hard on the assignments, they are LONG (12+ hours) and use textbook examples to solve them. Make the best possible cheat sheet and put all the assignment answers on it. You will do well.

He is an amazing prof! Very fair, good sense of humour, always offering to hep during office hours. Make sure to do the assignments -- they are very helpful for the exams. (I personally pasted all the questions from the assignments on the sheet).

Hussein is a great prof. Your mark in his class is completely reflective of your effort. His exams are very similar to the assignments and marks both fair. Lectures are interesting and he is very adorable.

Hussein is a fantastic tax prof. I wish he taught beginners tax more often, but I'm glad I took it with him in the spring. The exams and quizzes are tough mainly thanks to the MC portion. However, he's got a good attitude and he'll treat you like a person. I 100% recommend taking his tax courses, even if he only teaches that in spring.

Dr Warsame is really great! He is very clear about what he expects and genuinely cares about his students. He is very engaging and funny to the point where going to an accounting lecture doesn't feel like a chore. I highly recommend him!

Dr Warsame is an enthusiastic teacher. He makes accounting interesting, which is very tough to do! His passion shows through in every lecture. He said his favorite thing was to teach, and this is obviously true. Would take another class with him.

Dr. Warsame is a fantastic tax professor. He will go the extra mile if you ask for it. He does not give away easy grades but he is very clear about what you need to know to write the tests. The hard part is getting through all the tax material, rather than how the professor writes the tests.

For this class, your expected to work really hard and understand the material. Don't be intimidated though, if you work really hard you will be fine. And it also helps that the prof is really helpful
