professor anchisi is so nice. She is always willing to help and work with you just need to go to her office hours. You have to work for grade by trying that is because you are learning a new language. One thing to note is that class is everyday, but you actually learn the language.

Professor Anchisi is one of the sweetest people I've ever met, but can be a little tough. She will make you participate and if you like to talk and give input you'll do fine. I've taken all her classes and every one is structured exactly the same. Be ready to read and summarize, read and summarize. The classes will be spent discussing summaries

The worst professor I've ever had. I took her Feminism & P ornography class and while the material was interesting her way of teaching it was horrible. Her discussions were repetitive and boring, there was no real need to go to class. She would ask extremely personal questions and make you answer them in front of the whole class. Just horrible.

very tough grader, is very specific about what she wants. there was tons of reading and class discussion on the reading. the material was interesting but the teaching was eh. only 3 long papers and an even longer final. no tests. also a lot of reflections and writing

She is awful. My advice is to change your language and take a 101 class in order to avoid her. Calls on you when you clearly dont know the answer. I mean it is kind of hard to know the answer when she is this bad at teaching. All she does is put powerpoints with questions without even teaching you how to do it. She's awful. This class ruined my GPA

Professor anchisi is not helpful and doesnt care about her students passing. It is very difficult to approach her and unless you are one of her favorite students you cannot do well in her classes. she expects all students to spend all their time on italian. It is unrealistic to think of taking this class unless you are fluent in Italian.

Anchisi is a great professor. It is not impossible to get an A...sure the tests are a little difficult but as long as you study and keep up it's not bad. She is a sweet person in and outside of class..I always went to her if I had questions about my schedule even though she wasn't my advisor and she was more than willing to help!

She's an extraordinarily sweet woman with a great sense of humor. Her teaching flops from really good to kind of lacking or just plain bad. But, she's been teaching my class for the past 2 months while pregnant, and is now 7 or 8 months pregnant and about to leave. So who knows if her occasional bad teaching is related to her pregnancy.

A's strict but fair. All GC Ital profs follow the same lesson plan; none of the classes (101+) are taught in English. A speaks more slowly & clearly than the others. I haven't had a more helpful prof. Whoever said she's cold is out of their mind; I was taking 2 of her classes when my mom died, & she allowed me to make up my work as I became ready.

I'm SHOCKED to see so many negative comments about Lidia! I took her Italian Women & Film class and she did an excellent job in making the class interesting. It was student-conducted (6 students) and if you were dedicating to speaking during every class and writing a paper every other week, it was easy to get an A. She's very nice, Give her a shot!
