Don't answer questions. If you don't answer her way, even if correct, you're interrupted/told you're wrong. Don't ask questions. She interrupts & says it is irrelevant/wrong. Goes off on political tangents. Discusses sensitive topics in front of students that are clearly uncomfortable/offended. Half of class dropped within two weeks. Don't take her

This professor is extremely RUDE and HARD to understand. The lectures are way to FAST and she does a terrible job connecting the material. Show zero to little respect towards the students. For being a level one freshman class it was way to DIFFICULT. AVOID THIS CLASS AT ALL COSTS.

Her lectures are not good and super dated and won't really give more information than what she said the first time so you have to catch it quick. you aren't allowed to record the class to look back at either.

A rude professor. If you answer a question in class and it is wrong, she basically makes fun of you for it. Not to mention she is foreign and uses all of her spare lecture time to bash America, along with today's youth. Gets incredibly upset if you don't keep up with today's news... which doesn't pertain to the class about ancient history at all.

Worst professor I've ever had. Didnt speak good english, and was very quiet; yet refused a microphone. She was very condescending to all students, and her TA's. Her lectures were long, and had no powerpoint, so type/write as fast as possible. Her TA's do all of the grading, and they have no clear rubric for their Exams. Beware

This class is lecture driven, with required readings for each class (the only way I've gotten through the class is through using the book), all grades are tests, graded on an impossible scale. She speaks very quietly, often mumbles, and refuses to use a microphone. Very condescending if you don't answer perfectly. If you need help, just ask a TA.

you have to sit in the first three rows because she refuses to use a microphone. You must listen to her VERY carefully since she doesn't have a power point. This can get difficult because she mumbles a lot. Her tests are mainly essay and definitions based so make sure you know the material well. Overall I would never recommend her.

If you take any of her classes, sit in the first three rows and as close to directly in front of her as possible. She has a very quiet voice and doesn't believe in microphones. All the tests are in essay format, and you are expected to know all the terms that might be on each test since only a few are actually on it. Also, she checks attendance.

She's a tough grader, but if you actually work you should be fine. If you don't do the readings there might be a pop quiz. She'll work with you if you're struggling.

The hardest professor I have ever had. Grades on an impossible scale. You better have a photographic memory if you want an A, even then you probably still wouldn't get an A. Asks questions that could have multiple answers but scolds you if you don't provide the one she has in mind. I am a history major and withdrew from this class. DO NOT TAKE HER

If you don't write down everything she says in lecture, good luck because that's all her notes are. She expects you to know every little detail and is a very tough grader. Wants you to speak up in class but gets mad and calls it 'embarrassing' when you say one little mistake. I do NOT recommend taking her for any class she teaches.

She is a very knowledgeable person. Knows her history well. The class is difficult but if you study a good amount you will get an A. Write down the events and phrases that she repeats. Also complete the study guide and study it for the test. Only 4 exams for grade.

She's the hardest professor I've ever had at KSU, and I've had some hard profs. She knows her stuff, but she also likes to go off on political tangents - some lectures only started after she ranted about the election for half the time - and she is a hard grader. A REALLY hard grader. She's tough and takes off points for the smallest things.

Her lectures are all over the place, she can never stay on the subject at hand. She will spend half the class talking about something that is irrelevant to what we are supposed to be learning. She insults anyone who isn't a grad student that asks a question in class. Her grading criteria is unclear, she seems like she expects everyone to be experts

She is condescending to her students and to the TA. I have never seen her directly address him by name ever. She has the key words and dates from the lecture but if you miss something forget about asking her she won't help you. If you don't answer a question in class the way she wants you to she will ridicule you in front of the class.

Her tests are too hard. She is disrespectful and expects way too much out of everyone. She is condescending and will stand there telling us that we are not college material. I would never take a class from her again. You can't even check your grades.

She doesn't use the technology like she should, she just puts words on the board and we have to write almost everything she says in order to understand. She gets distracted easily and won't teach the material all the way for that day. DONT TAKE A CLASS WITH HER.

She has a very thick accent, and it's very hard to understand her. If you miss one class you will miss and entire lesson worth a lot on tests. You have to listen to her lectures and take notes off of what she says. The only reason i have an A is because I record her lectures, you have to hide it though because you're not allowed to record her.

Professor Thyret is very hard to understand. She has a thick German accent and sometimes it's hard to hear what she's saying. Basically taught myself from the book. Goes off topic alot. Make sure you're ready to take lots of notes and write down almost everything she says. Tests are tough, and there's only about 5 grades total. OK class otherwise..
