Does his best to allocate the LEAST amount of time to the class possible. This class was unnecessarily stressful due to incredibly strict grading. Averages for exams and quizzes are routinely below 50, all because he gives ZERO partial credit. The class is essentially just signals and systems again. NOTHING NEW. Stay away unless really good at S&S.

He knows a lot and teaches from ground up, but his arrogance and ego befalls him. The first time I went to his office, he interviewed me. And repeatedly had bouts of anger. I decided to drop his class because of such attitude. If you take his class, you will learn, but if you do something wrong, he is very harsh, to the point. Dont mess with him.

DSP 2 is entirely project based, and the course structure is awesome. This is actual DSP, u get to learn various new algorithms, and also get a chance to apply them in your project., and one more thing you won't have any TA sessions for DSP 2. For project go to the TA he will clear your doubts. Overall I learned something good in this course.

overall he is a good professor but get ready to go through the book and do make notes, TA sessions are really helpful don't miss them, and dont rely on the cheat sheet , learn the formulae. And also u will be getting sets in the exam, and "EXAMS WILL BE CONCEPTUAL"

Often gives very boring lecturer. Voice is mostly Monotone which hurts more is that he gives few example, rambles often and covers material he doesn't test/quiz. While testing material not covered in class. Must read book and be self-learning to succeed in this class because TA covers homework weeks after it is already turned in and does give aid

Don't take it. If you have to, keep your distance to the professor. Don't ask questions, don't say anything in the class. Panahi has a childish, arrogant personality. His teaching is awful. I had heard that before I took it but I couldn't believe it. It was totally waste of my time and money. JUST DON'T TAKE IT.

This class was shameful for utd. All the semester I was thinking how the pofessor is an associate professor at utd. How is it possible? He doesn't know basic things. He is very arrogant and firm. Definitely he is the worst professor that I have had.

Not Clear Scoring and He scores you subjectively based on what he thinks. He is not flexible, you can't talk with him because he is firm. The method of teaching is awful. He copied all materials from textbook, even examples, wrote them down on paper and scanned them and in the class he goes through them like a presentation. DON'T TAKE IT !
