Extremely impatient and stubborn person. He will not tolerate different opinions and has very poor taste of music. He doesn't prepare anything before the class and every time he will give you opposite comments from last time. If you want to be a good musician/pianist, don't study with him.

Comment:
One of the greatest teachers I had. Dr. Kaltchev shares his knowledge with his students and does mot hold back. He is very caring, great performer, and wonderful person. However if you are looking for an easy teacher, look elswhere. All of the students that study with him and work hard play well.

Dr.K is a fabulous teacher! When I came to study with him I had no idea how lucky I was. He is an amazing pianist, and shares many techniques with his students. He is very dedicated to us. Any pianist would be lucky to study with him.

Dr. Kaltchev is great-not only is he a world-class pianist, he is also a world-class teacher. He cares about your piano playing and you as a person. My playing has improved a lot since I have been studying with him.
