Comment:

I took a sales class with Csipak and it was the best - I learned so many valuable theories but most importantly about ethics. The weaker students/slackers hate his guts because he expects so much from each of us and he does have a tendency to relate many actual real-life facts ignored by these students. Csipak values knowledge, and I learned a lot!

Comment:

Tough Grader, expects a lot from students but he first gives a lot of himself. He loves to repeat the 5P's - Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance - and he is RIGHT. A very relevant and never boring teacher. He is extremely knowledgeable. He is an intellectual but also a very gifted teacher. He loves his job and it shows. I strongly recommend.

AWESOME DUDE THIS CSIPAK. YOU WON'T FALL ASLEEP IN HIS CLASS! HE TEACHES OUTSIDE THE BOX OF MARKETING AND SHARES HIS BELIEFS TO WHICH HE ALWAYS ADDS "BY THE WAY, I COULD BE WRONG. HE IS NOT YOUR STANDARD BORING PROFESSOR. HE IS EXTREMELY WELL READ IN MANY AREAS AND SHARES HIS KNOWLEDGE. HE IS RELEVANT IN HELPING STUDENT THINK ABOUT THEIR FUTURE.

Goes on long lectures, gets nowhere and proves no point. Rude to students. Repeats the same thing in every class, and every other class. Very full of himself and brags about degrees. Claims to care about students. After 4 weeks of class we are still going over the syllabus. Still has not gone over retailing at all. VERY UNORGANIZED AND SPARATIC

TOUGH professor. You will need to go to office hours to pass. Syllabus was 20+ pages long. Tests are extremely hard. Anything he says in class is fair game for tests. Uses really good examples when teaching. Some say hes crazy but he's just passionate about what he teaches. Likes to brag about his PHD and fancy cars. Dont skip class!

Nice guy, would not take his class again. Extremely tough grader. VERY hard tests. topics he spoke about for only 30 sec are fair game on tests. Only covered 3 out of 12 chapters on the syllabus. Don't skip class or you won't pass. Very helpful in office hours though and will meet you anytime. Class average on tests was in the 60-70 range.

Run while you can. Every test question starts with "According to Dr. Csipak ___" because he thinks he's smarter than the textbook. I have never taken a more infuriating class in my life. He is entirely incapable of following one train of thought for more than 30 seconds. I learned a lot about his likes and dislikes but not so much about retailing.

He is a nice enough guy, but as a teacher I don't recommend him. He tells the same stories over and over...and over again, which is enough to drive you mad. Breakdown of testS: 75% inspirational quotes, 25% material from notes which is often times chaotic because he tries to be so thorough that it ends up being confusing what he wants.

This guy is so full of himself it's unreal. If you want to get a good laugh in three times a week, take his class. You have two tests per semester that you have to pull a combined 60% to pass. He states to not test you on his beliefs or values, but a majority of the test is based off of random quotes he either made up or thinks is "valuable".

Definately one of the better teachers at PSU. Kind of goes on random tangents but theyre amusing and sometimes very good life advice. He pretty much tells u what to write down and the exact thing u wrote down will be on the test, which are not hard. His projects take effort but if youre takin this class most likely it will be helpful for careers.

I have this teacher for two classes, he is the hardest tecaher I have ever had. He expects you to write down and memorize every word that comes out of his moouth. Our class has to watch a 1hr presentation and on the quiz the week following he asked us to complete a random sentance from the presentation. He doesnt explain the projects he hands ouy

standard arrogant Prof (can't call him anything but Prof or Sir) - nothing special about teaching skills. Very hard grader. better than his wife though - she's a horrible teacher - stands infron of class with overheads and reads verbatim.

He makes his lectures very interesting and is willing to work with all of his students to make sure that they do well in his class. The workload isn't too bad but there are only a few tests given and each test covers a lot of chapters in the book. If you show up to class and read the chapters assigned it's the tests aren't that hard.
