Despite appearing flaky she demands technical competence and unlike some philosophy profs, is actually willing and able to spell out what you did wrong and how to get it right. That said, I watched her demolish a graduate student in class because he openly disagreed with the premise of the class. Pay lip service to her politics and you'll be okay.

I went to class maybe 3 or 4 times and got an A. The subject matter was interesting, and she was certainly thought provoking when I did go... but she gets SO off-topic and goes off on long, winding tangents that as a science student I couldn't handle.

An incredible prof; makes her expectations completely clear, and doesn't take**** from students; encourages conversation, thought, and independent research and ended up changing the way I eat!! I'd highly recommend taking a course from her.

This class changed the way I view the world. Glazebrook encouraged the learning I wanted to get from university. She opened my mind to new possibilities and new ideas. Though she is quite biased in her lectures, I still enjoyed her dry humour and anecdotes. I am going to miss her class so much!!!!!

Ignores emails sent, completely killed my interest in a course I would otherwise love to take due to poor teaching methods. Complete nonsensical way of explaining things, which forced me to just give up on the course and drop it. Does things that I would consider largely a waste of time, eg playing music at the start of a class to "open my mind."

She tells you exactly what she expects and tolerates on the first day of class. Anyone who thinks she's unclear just doesn't like her steamroller style. Too bad, she inspires thinking. She's not a prof for the 'corporate student' just trying to get an A and a good job. she's better than that. Some people just don't like being challenged!

Glazebrook was a great prof. I was intimidated after her first lecture where she spoke up about here eco-feminist views, being a guy and all. I soon found those fears to be unfounded. 2480 was great, but 2485 was almost entirely group presentations. She only lectured twice the entire term. Very easy to get an A.

Despite my poor paper grade (I didn't use proper citations, which she is really keen on) she is amazing. Loved the class, she has such a dark sense of humor and she is very passionate about what she does. The subject matter is interesting and she loves to open up topics for discussion, def. take a course from her if you can.

colorful personality, but dont be intimidated by it. She goes out of her way to design the course in such a manner that IF YOU GO to class you will do well. Loves what she does, very open to discussion, keeps subject matter interesting.

If you feel tempted to withdraw from Glazebrook's class, DON'T DO IT! Yes, she has an extreme character, but it's good for you. If you don't find yourself on her level, try to get there - just for a semester. Glazebrook's dark humour and solid attitude will bend you. Unlike many profs, she offers strong lectures that are worth your money.

If you are ready for something refreshingly different and provocative, take this class. Her views are right out there in the open and she approaches controversial subject matter in a way that forces you to be critical, especially of yourself.I found that she was very open to dissent. Always got me talking and thinking.

This class was terrible! Also, Glazebrook is not clear on what she expects from papers and she takes herself way to seriously. As well, the TA were awful markers.

Students tend to either really hate her or really love her. Material was interesting, but assignments are a joke, however she can be extremely helpful with essays, readings, etc. T.As for this class are terrible.

WOW! Not only was she a politically-correct ethical maniac, she was moody. I didn't learn a damn thing in this class except that when someone shoves strong biased opinions down my throat I don't like it. Her T.A (Tamara) couldn't buy respect if she wanted to!
