On the last day of class, Professor Thompson told us it was kind of a lottery to decide who would get an A, A-, and B+. If you want an easy B+ or higher, this course is for you, but know it is pretty random who will get what grade. Working harder or reading the material won't assure you get a higher grade. He lacked clear grading criteria.

This professor had a disorganized class and strayed from the syllabus often. We had 2 papers even though syllabus said we would have three, and he grade subjectively with no clear grading criteria (ex. I got a B++ on a paper ... what does this even mean?). The midterm and final were collective essays written by class, and we also had final project.

Thompson was extremely nice and kind of funny but VERY spacey. It was a seminar but he really just lectured the whole time. Three short papers, don't have clear criteria/reasoning for grading. Midterm was a collective essay by the whole class, which was irritating but we got an A. Final was a group project where you make a video. Pretty easy class

Awesome professor, very nice and funny. The midterms was a paper that the whole class wrote together, we got an A on it. For papers he gives you a standard topic and a creative topic (such as rewriting a story in another style), and you get to choose which one you want to do.
