Pretty simple rules for Zech: show up, be respectful and study hard for tests! Follow these rules and youre guaranteed to pass. Sure he can be harsh sometimes but only when students disrespect his rules or sleep during his class

If you want a case study of an unpredictable narcissist professor, sign up for any of Zechs classes. Swiftly approaching retirement with a loss of enthusiasm, his courses are tantrum infused and hinder students desire for learning. Students leave classes concerned with adverse behaviors rather than the subject taught. I dont recommend Zech.

I LOVED DR ZECH! He was one of the best professors that I had and helped me enjoy graduate school. He knows so much and really wants students to do their best. He is very tough on those who don't care, so pay attention to him. The material can be hard, but he is energetic.

I give him credit for his love for plants, but he's a Nazi when it comes to testing. For his exams, you must memorize WORD FOR WORD the exact way HE defines something or he will count it wrong! His study guides only cover 50% of whats on the tests. Tests are long, and unless you are obsessed about plants, i don't recommend taking this class with hi

Very energetic, but only take this class if plants are your best friend. Warning: The lab student teachers suck and you have to take lab with this class, so be prepared to STUDY non stop for the lab class because the student teachers compete with each other while teaching the class which makes the class miserable.
