Such an odd professor. He will patronize you to Timbuktu so just entertain him and play along. He will have every single person in class read from the textbook during every class; I honestly felt like I was a child in grade school again. Easy A undoubtedly, but it was a watered down version of BSAD220 and that's a 2 credit course.

One of the weirdest teachers and people I have ever have the privilege of meeting. Class is boring and occasionally expects you to participate. He will make you work for the grade and going to office hours helps. He will try to be your friend and I would just entertain him because it could impact your grade. He does not assign that much homework.

Genuinely one of the most encouraging and respectful professors I've had. Clear on expectations and allows students opportunities to reflect and better their work. The lectures are both engaging and overall he is a funny and supportive professor. Class was late at night on Thursdays, but I was genuinely excited to attend and participate every week.

The class was a complete waste of time. I'm a business major and took a Career Prep class that is basically the same thing. The class is so useless but it is also very easy. Prof. Janangelo is hella weird. He can be creepy at times and says some very interesting things to say the least. But he means well and is very nice. There are better profs tho

This is one of the very few classes where I would have gladly taken a more difficult course for a better professor and subject. You won't learn much and for the semester, you'll have to deal with this nightmarish professor. For example, if you don't say hi to him properly in passing, he might hold it against you for the remainder of the semester.

Professor Janangelo is beyond patronizing, but will give you a ridiculously easy A. Despite the easy A, I would not recommend taking him unless you're okay with being talked down to, as Janangelo tries to befriend you while constantly saying, "how smart are those people that are writing things down right now." Take at your own discretion.

Attendance isn't part of your grade, but if you skip he will take it personally and grade you harder. Extremely easy class if you just do what he asks which he makes very clear. It is painful to listen to his lectures and he is a very strange guy but if you can deal with him you'll get an A. Shocked this is writing intensive.

Easily the coolest guy ever, and I found it hard to believe most of the things I've read on here. I remember he once gave a kid 100% on a quiz the kid failed after just one office hour session. He offers himself as a recomendation to all students who are applying for absolutely anything, and he cares about the kids learning in his class.

Professor Janangelo is a strange guy, and I'm not sure I actually learned anything, but he couldn't be clearer about what he expects of you and the class couldn't be any easier. I'm still shocked this class was writing intensive. The only downside to this class was that it was late Monday nights.

To be honest, a lot of the other ratings Professor Janangelo got came as a surprise to me. I think he is one of the most encouraging professors I have had at Loyola. He is always kind and as long as you show up for class, you will do great in this class. I am not usually a straight A student but I passed this course with almost 100%. I'd recommend.

I loved Janagelo's class! He's so cool, very sweet, and very approachable. He's very chill and gives candy sometimes! He understands everyone's individual situations. Listen and take notes and you're good!

He was very helpful over the course of the semester. There are 2 papers, and he allows you to do a re-write for a better grade. There are two group presentations, and as long as you show up and present, you receive an A. There are in class journals every week that count towards participation. I highly recommend him, and he is the sweetest man ever!

Hes a good teacher, likes to read alot in class, so bring your book. only requires two papers a semester, but is a hard grader but offer rewrites for full credit. Hes a good time. Also gives points for inclass journals, so show up to class!

Professor Janangelo... Avoid at all costs. He takes it personally if you skip his class & will develop a dislike towards you. His grading is unclear & seems to be based on whether or not he likes you. Majority of the class got a final grade of B+. If you ask for help he will just criticize your entire paper & ideas. Just avoid him and his class.

I loved this class because it was interesting and engaging, but Dr. Janangelo is such a tough grader it made the class seem impossible. I saw him for help on my papers, and he criticized everything I did and makes assumptions about my education level and achievements, completely putting me down.

TAKE FOR BUSINESS WRITING. Extremely helpful, and he edits all of your papers and is always willing to help. Take night class! Class is only half hour on draft days.. best professor at loyola, not sure why he has bad reviews, if you come to class and put in an hour a week you will get an A.

Janangelo is a mixed bag, indeed. His lectures are interesting and engaging. The texts, likewise. But I think there's weight to the claims of personalizing his grading against students. He publicly maligned a student for not greeting him in the library properly, comparing her to the villain in the text we read. Bright, surely, but unprofessional.
