Everyone in the beginning of the semester does terrible on all of their papers. If you go to class, follow instructions properly, go to tutoring and do your work you will get an A in this class. Because of this class I am now a good writer. She does not tolerate people being constantly late or following directions because she will kick you out.

I took her class in 2007. It is now 2011 and I can still remember her! Worst teacher ever! She had favorites and if you are not her favorite, she hates you. Apparently she dropped me from the class without my own knowledge. On the petition form, she forced me to write a fake reason for why I wanted to drop the class. Worst teacher ever!

This woman is the worse English teacher I ever had. I loved English before her but every day in this class was a struggle. She humiliated various people every single day, and spent more time reading aloud the works of her favorites rather than teaching us anything. She is never clear in what she wants, and threatens to drop you on a whim.

Do not take her. she plays favorite and if she does not like you she will humiliate you. she did not let me take the class because she felt I could not handle it/was not intelligent. I have 3.89 GPA and was a junior then. now I lost my priority registration as a senior since she did not let me take the class and kicked me out after the 3rd week.

Oh my, well English has always been my worse subject so going into this i was terrified. She gave me F's on my first 2 term papers and a lot of my daily homework. But because she gives daily hw and didn't pass my papers i really improved as a writer throughout the semester. Class is mandatory, she's very organized, very into her literature

let me tell you a story. i have always done well in my english classes, and this woman constantly gave me not passings. i spent HELLA time revising my papers to meet her standards, and instead of commending me on improvement she accused me of getting outside help. she seemed to hold some kind of resentment towards me, so i just withdrew.

this is by far the WORST professor to ever walk the face of the earth. she talks to her students like they are mentally retarded or 8 years old, and her readings are extremely boring. she gave me NP [not passing] on all my papers and wrote un necessarily cruel comments on them. I dropped this class.

Ms. Guerin was a good teacher. I learned a lot in her class and if you didnt do well, you must not have tried. It's a college English class, so sure it's challenging, but it's supposedt to be! I felt like I actually got something out of this class. I would recommend her, and she does prepare you for JEPET.

Do not take her class. She makes it seem like hers is the only class we are taking, with all the daily assignments she gives.Treats you like little kids but then grades very hard. I got a good grade in her class in the end, but i dreaded her class the entire semester.

She is the WORST teacher I've ever had!!! She has this monotone voice which makes you fall asleep in class and hard to follow. Her teaching skills are very poor. If she doesn't like you, you are doomed to fail her class. Her grading policy is ridiculous thus it's hard to know where you stand in that class! I STRONGLY don't recommend HER!!!!

Do NOT take Guerin for 214 if you can help it. She not only treats you like children, but she grades super harsh. She gave me "Not Passing" on my papers, never giving a letter grade, even when I spent hours fixing them to try and improve the scores. I've never had below an A- in Eng, and I'm failing at the moment. Wish I had dropped earlier.

Very easy class to take although she gives you a lot of homework. Extra credit is also given for perfect attendence and 4 novels are to be read in order to pass the class. She was very helpful when I had any questions. Cool class!

A great person. Class is a bit time consuming, and she will drop you if you do not show up to class but shes is really great. The assinments were interesting and creative! Not hard to get a good grade.
