I loved having Jane as a teacher! She was so nice and cared about all of her students so incredibly much and made a family community out of her class! She is fair with grading but she is also honest about how you did and what you need to work on. Love her and wish she could teach every class at Wheelock!

I like Jane a lot as a person. It's clear that she loves theatre and has so much passion for teaching it. However, she is very disorganized. Her syllabus is never clear with due dates and her larger assignments are not well explained. I feel like I learned a lot but it is often difficult to work with her.

Jane is mean and unrelenting. She, more than any professor I have had, has the awful "I am leagues better than you" attitude. I say she is unrelenting because after being sick for a week (with a doctor's note), she wouldn't let me make up a presentation that was due and was worth half the grade. I ended up having to withdraw from her class.

I had Jane for Musical Theatre...she was okay but really had a bad attitude in class if you didn't share her passion. Her assingments were fun but class was typically boring.

If you were comfortable with the topic she'd shoot you down, especially when you weren't sure of something. If you were new to the topic and struggling, she'd write unhelpful comments on papers. Has no faith in her students. She said not to interpret the plays! Theatre is all about interpretation!
