Comment:

Chill professor, goes by her own custom textbook, makes you do about 8 journals, and maybe 5 papers over the course of the class. Lectures weren't very heavy and the papers start off being 2-3 then go to 4-5 so it's pretty easy. No presentations, just writing and peer review. Easy class definitely worth taking for credit.

She's a very sweet person, and really makes you feel as if the purpose of the class is to help you. She's what a good professor should be. The class is mostly essays, so as long as you put in the effort and do them, she'll ensure you pass the class.

Professor Kraft is a great choice for students who feel uneasy about their writing skills. She cares about her students and wants you to learn the subject matter well. Be ready to write! It's a must in order to pass this class. But she is willing to help you. I learned how to research scholarly journals, books, newspapers, etc. from her class.

Professor Krafts class was a great english class. She's so awesome and made writing our final which is a 10 page paper really easy.

Professor Kraft is so sweet and provides good feedback for her essays. She is always willing to meet you even out of office hours! Theres 5 essays throughout the course but you get 2 weeks per essay. Absolutely recommend her for English, she is so open minded and kind. Youll get at least a B and an A if you work hard. She also responds to emails

Professor Kraft is nice, her class is easy to pass and do not require a lot of paper. I am ususally a B person for Eng class. But this time I didnt try hard but get A-. Honestly, if you want to learn, do not take her, but if you want a easy class and dont care about learning stuff, take her.

Jan is an amazing professor with good contributions to essays. She gives lots of feedback for the essays and if you need extra help, she is always in her office during her office hours. There was 4 essays, but you can write about any topic you want. We also didn't have class everyday so we can work on our essays. Straight-forward, clear grading.

Professor Jan Kraft is amazing. Take her for english 1010, and 1050 if you are a freshman at CSULA. She's sweet and she really cares about students grasping how to construct a good essay. You will need to purchase her textbook which has amazing sample essays and thorough instructions about what to write.

Jan Kraft is amazing, there are few papers she is an easy grader, most of the class got A's and B's. There is only class about once a week, she says the other class days you should use to write and meditate.

Prof Kraft is definitely one of my favorite professors. She does try her best to help you out and does care about your work and how you're doing. We were required to write a min. 10 page essay about a topic you're passionate about, but she spaces it out so you don't feel overwhelmed and stressed. Class was fun and easygoing and I learned a lot.

She's a great person but a tough grader. With the essays, she gives a lot of feedback but doesn't give good grades for them. She will help you with the essays though. Kraft has canceled class way too many times and i believe thats what messed me up. Very lenient though. i don't recommend this teacher.

This class has you writing several essays to create one big research paper that counts as your final. There are no tests or midterms and not even a textbook, just a workbook that she herself created. MLA book she suggests isn't necessary if you can write well. She's so, so nice & absolutely loves her students! Definitely someone that cares!

I am that type of person that was so scared to take English 102, because I simply hate writing. Professor Kraft made the class interesting and capable for everyone to pass. You have to focus your writing only about one topic, and write about it the whole quarter. Easy grader and shes very chill !! I would totally recommend her

Love this professor. She is really straightforward and helpful. You write 4 essays, but you're basically writing it on the same topic. Don't stress she gives you time & there's peer review. The final: you put all your essays together to write the final essay. Really enjoyed the class, it's easy to get an A as long as you put in effort.

I had her for English 101 and 102 and both times I passed with an A. You will usually write a draft and the have it reviewed by peers and then a final draft. She gives plenty of time to finish. If you need help she is always there so don't be afraid to ask because she is really nice and helpful.
