Comment:

Professor Lenaghan is my favorite professor at Hofstra. She brings the perfect combination of real world experience and academic knowledge to her class--she definitely requires participation and effort from her students but it never feels overwhelming. There is a rather large group project, but an opportunity to compete for cash which was cool!

Comment:

Although she is knowledgeable Avoid at all costs, worst professor Ive had in the fact that she only cares about the students who are seniors and already have jobs lined up. For a Human resources "expert" she walks a very fine line and makes inappropriate remarks during her class's I wouldn't waste my money and take her for any course.

Comment:

Definitely one of the best and most knowledgeable professors in the management department. Interactive and interesting lectures. Tough tests, but gives extra credit. Highly recommend taking her, as you will learn a lot.

This class made me want to go into HR. Lenaghan is an amazing professor. Be sure to pay attention in class and you'll barely need to study. We had three exams, one paper, and a group project. Pick your partners wisely. The only downfall was when Lenaghan began favoring a group. It brought down class morale, but other than that she was great.

Fall 2015 is one of my most memorable semester thanks to Dr Lenaghan. She is one of the few Professors that makes me never want to miss a class or daydream for a break :) .. she peaks your interest, she gives excellent feedback, she has lively discussions, she's intuitive, and her grading system is clear. Excellent well rounded teacher.

By far my favorite professor at Hofstra! The whole class is hands on and she teaches you things that you will 100% need in the real world. I actually looked forward to this class and she makes you interested and want to participate. She's an awesome professor and an even better person!! TAKE HER!

My personal favorite management professor. She is super clear, very straight forward. Always smiling, and gives respect where respect is earned. If you pay attention, take notes, and just be a responsible student you will have no problem at all.

Dr. Lenaghan is the BEST professor in the management department. I've learned so much in her class, taken her 3 times already. If you really want to increase skills in your field, she's the professor for you! Group presentations are major, so choose members wisely. Exams really make you think but she's very understanding, go to office hrs if needed

Comment:

One of the best business professors at Hofstra. She truly has a great talent for making dry subject matter interesting. However, don't expect to not go to class and not do any work. Tests are slightly tough but as long as you show up, do your work and generally care she will give you a good grade.

Comment:

Definitely one of the better professors that I have had at Hofstra. Very kind, helpful, and lenient on presentation grades if you put in the effort. Quizzes are definitely on the harder side, but she'll usually throw out questions that everyone got wrong to improve everyone's grade. Definitely recommend.

First time I took Professor Lenaghan and I thought she was an awesome teacher. She is very knowledgable about the subject matter and couldn't have been nicer when I asked her questions. She is a great professor who I would recommend to anyone.

HORRIBLE class. The exams are awful. Exams are multiple choice. There are two or three correct answer to every question but only one is accepted obviously. The questions could not be more unclear. On top of all of this she is not knowledgeable on the subject at all. She is rude and thinks she knows more than everyone, in reality she knows nothing

She is terrible. I am taking her as an online class over winter and she does not understand that we do not have an entire semester to do all of her work but only 3 weeks. She is horrible at speaking her online lectures are torture and she takes forever to get to the point. Do not take her she is extremely hard.

Professor Lenaghan is a great teacher but is not easy. you really got to put in the work if you wanna do well in the class. all test are MC (but not easy) short paper assignments about once a month. and a lot of group work including a group presentation. But shes definitely nice and caring. Oh and organized

Be prepared to do all your work and participate ALOT. Get to class on time otherwise she'll mark you absent. Lots of group work including 1 presentation, 1 short paper and 3 tests (midterm, final and another test). Tests are very difficult, you can't just use the slides she posts. Interesting topic but hard professor.

Professor Lenaghan is, hands down, one of the best profs I have had at HU. She is a great teacher, clear, fair and clearly loves teaching. Her tests are hard but fair. If you go to class and pay attention, you will have no problems. Take her - you will learn a lot!

I read the review on RMP about this prof. Took her and end results... She is horrible! Very unorganized, bias, and hypocrite. She gives 2 multiple choice tests(which are hard because its matter on which is the RIGHT answer) 1 letter essay, 1 group presentation and 1 evaluation paper. She takes hidden attendance so go to class on time. Avoid Her!

Comment:

Do you like taking tests that have 5 answers 4 of which could be the answer? Do you like to hear your class average on a test was pretty close to the 50-60's range? Do you like not having a lot of prep for tests? If yes to any of these take Dr. L. She is a good professor a lot of knowledge but tests are not hard but a pain and confusing.
