Comment:

She was a very nice person and told a lot of stories. She was all over the place but it wasn't that bad because we barley did anything in class. We only had to write 4 papers for the class and some class participation stuff but she was a little unclear about what he wanted us to write about exactly. Graded leniently, would recommend.

Nice person, horrible professor! Shows up late, very confusing w/ lectures. Uses the textbooks frequently. We only had 5 papers and take home final and I never got a paper back the ENTIRE semester AND my grade got posted late. Easy class but if you actually want to learn, take it w/ another prof.

Class won't start until 20 minutes after. She talks the whole class about nonsense and you don't really know if you learned anything. She has good intentions; it's just that she comes off very out-of-it. It doesn't help that she often says that she's crazy. You really believe her

Worst teacher ever. Our class ends in two weeks and she has not passed a single thing back to her. If you are a person who likes to track their grade, DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE. Painful class to sit through, she gets off topic a lot and wastes time, and all the books are depressing. do yourself a favor and take a class with a different teacher.

I took children's lit with her in fall 2010..biggest joke ever. I don't know why people are badly rating her, it was an easy A. I got a 4.0 and didn't do half of the assignments. She rarely knows what she's talking about and it's a really boring class to sit through. you don't have to read. Take it if you want an easy 4.0

just took her in fall 2010 for childrens literature. there was alot of reading and a few papes/projects- she's more than willing to clarify something if you don't understand, just ask her :) if she thinks you aren't reading, she'll give you a quiz, so read! even if you're going to be late, she appreciates you showing up to class, good class :)

if you want an easy 4.0 and want to learn nothing- take this class. don't bother buying the books either, you can completly make anything up. Our final consisted of passing in any of the work we have missed... we also graded our own project. makes no sense. she wastes more time talking about anything other than the actual topic of the class.

She assigns good book to read but doesn't really hold you accountable for it. Class lectures are USELESS. I haven't learned anything from her. What i have learned in from my textbooks. She says, "I want my ashes put in the ballot box after I die so I can still vote" She's just a bit crazy.

ahhh, worst class taken. easy as stepping on ants. didnt even need to read books. she never followed her own guidelines and was practically there. she had a 6 unexcused absense policy, but she failed to do it herself. Nice woman with good intentions, but money is paying for my education and I want to learn. Got over a 3.0 though for nothing =)

I brought up the topic of the book series 'Twilight' in class the other day in relation to bad authors who get published, and this ENGLISH professor replied in a quiet voice '...but I like that series...' and even went on to argue with me in favor of its horrible writing and pathetic character development. after having her for two classes i reccomend not skipping class so you know what assingments she wants to to do. No matter how stupid the assingment is just do it. You will not get graded on it or ever see it again but do it so that you can recieve a grade in the class and not fight with her over it. Keep a copy of all your work bc she will lose it
