Comment:

Social Issues Through Film FFC. Really Boring class. I didn't care for most of the movies but that's and opinion. Watch one movie outside of class every week and answer questions about the movies for homework. Tests are just random questions from the worksheets. Classes are super boring. Fairly easy class overall but not the most enjoyable.

WORST TEACHER EVER!!!this guy is so mean, so dumb, old, has no experience, and is good at one thing...making people hate him.this class sucks, every class I've had with him sucks,but I had to take it because he was the only professor teaching it.Avoid at all costs..

Terrible. I didn't learn much in this class...I don't even know how half the equipment works. I took this class because I thought it would be fun, but it's been nothing but a pain in the ass. We do nothing in class then get loaded with outside class work. A level 100 class but so aggravating!

Just study for the quizzes and midterm and do the projects. He likes to see effort. Very helpful if you just ask. Learned everything about being in the studio and on set through this class. He really prepares you to do most of the positions you will face in the TV world.

great prof, really knowledgable and understanding. just try hard on your 3 productions and he'll recognize it and give you high grades. it doesn't always have to come out perfectly, you just have to try hard and put in the effort.

Pretty easy, study for the quizes and you're fine (wanting to study the material is the difficult part). Second half of the semester is three projects, grades so easy if the projects are at least decent. If he show interest, he'll like you, then you're set.

Good guy. Will teach you allot if you show an intrest. Most people don't like him because he gives poor grades for half assed projects, because you can usually get away with that at chapman.

His idea of a good film is one that follows "Hollywod" style methods. He is not always pleased with students' projects which are expiremental. He's not a bad teacher, but compared to many other visual storytelling teachers, he seems to be the best one.

He's an easy going prof.. Who teaches a lot of stuff (kinda throws a lot at ya) and not all gets soaked in... 3 Big projects and weekly quizzes can be a heart ache... Not a bad teach, but prob not the best tv production teacher

Boylan is a decent guy, but i don't think he's much of a professor. While he is EXTREMELY critical of student projects, his documentaries are on overdone topics, and aren't very well done. He's very difficult and I was one of the only people to get an A

Boylan does not provide much help outside of class... he has a sarcasm that kind of drives people up the wall too. Although hes a nice guy, there is something wierd about his personality. His class is easy and fun, but you don't learn too much.
