Comment:

THE WORST CLASS & PROF I've ever had. Attendance is mandatory, however, we end up having to teach ourselves outside of class. In class, we repeat vocab words or work in groups but she does not try to explain the difficult concepts and just reads the textbook to us. The least helpful professor ever. Do not recommend.

Comment:

If you are planning to take Corry for 102, don't expect to have any kind of review from previous courses. In my class, most students hadn't taken a foreign language since high school and Corry did nothing to get us on the same page. Her tests are difficult because there may be sections that you can't prepare for and she uses the vosotros form.

Dr. Corry does not like keeping a conversation. It is her way only. Her way of thinking is the correct one and that is it. She does not like derogatory feedback. I do not recommend her at all. You basically have to go every day

Professor Corry is a horrible teacher. She is very unwilling to work with students who are absent due to sickness, etc. Even with a doctors note. She has a very arrogant attitude when approached outside of class, and does not answer questions in class. Also, I have never had another teacher or profesor require the learning of the vosotros form.

I thought that I was decent in Spanish before I took this class, but now I am more confused than when I started. Corry is a horrible teacher. All she does is read from the book and give answers without an explanation. She asks if there are any questions but doesn't really answer them.

Rereads instructions when questions are asked instead of helping. Gives handouts to do during class so that we can basically figure it out ourselves. Feel like I'm a bother when I ask for her assistance even though she's the teacher and I'm paying for her to teach. Poor representation of the education Berry College claims to provide for students.

Dr.Corry seemed very unapproachable at first. Once I mustered up the courage to meet with her outside of class, she was very nice and helpful. Don't be afraid to go to her if you need help. Much more friendly outside of class.

Corry is a genuinely good person. She is very understanding when you are out of class for a legitimate reason, but she is not good at teaching. She teaches straight from the book, does the examples and tells the answers. She'll ask if there are questions, and then give an answer without an explanation. I am way more confused about Spanish now

This was a CONVERSATION class, but we spent the entire semester reading complicated excerpts from the book. In short, as much as I was looking forward to this class, which I thought would be so much fun, Dr. Corry destroyed that. She's unapproachable, unwilling to work with you, and is an exceptionally horrible professor. Avoid her at all costs!

Anyone who took spanish in high school and did remotely good (i had 75-85s) will do very good in this class. It is a basic review of all of the stuff you learned in high school. Corry is relaxed and always has little games and easy lessons to make the class fun.

Spanish was extremely easy to learn with her. She tends to teach the class like a high school class, lots of games, and such, but you learn the content of the book and makes it very easy.

Jen is really great. She really knows her stuff, and is very cool, too. She cares more about us learning than about tests or grades, and that means so much. For upper level classes she is awesome.
