She is a very nice person but when it comes to other people's opinion she does not accept it. If you do not think like her then you are automatically wrong. Some topics discussed are interesting. Very heavy with reading and homework!

Dr. Glancy is a great teacher!! She is very upfront with her policies and she does expect attendance and lots of reading. She is very flexible and willing to meet outside of class to discuss issues you may be having. I find people that complain about her teaching methods or her class or usually lazy and just don't want to work at all.

I took Glancy for Religious Perspectives and I was really bored. The class was hard and even if you had a valid point of view supported by evidence you saw, to her, it was still invalid which was upsetting. I'm still taking her class right now but if I knew how she was before taking it, I would've dropped it ASAP!!!

I absolutely loved REL200. Best class of the semester, and by far the best teacher. She is incredibly smart, and always willing to explain things to you. I learned far more than I ever imagined in this class, and thank Dr. Glancy for it! I can't wait to take more classes with her!

Reading, reading and more reading. You have to have read the text prior to the class to do well- since ALL the quiz material is from the reading. She somewhat nit-picky on papers, but if you get the general concept you'll at least get a B. She has written many books on religion, so you cant really BS your way on papers. Overall a good teacher.

WARNING: I HATED this class. I worked wicked hard and still could not get a good grade. It requires a TON of reading. If you don't agree with what she believes in/teaches you're toast. She grades really hard. I do NOT recommend this class to anyone including religion majors. She's terrible. More people dropped out of that class than stayed in.

Class is very difficult, it is supposed to be an intro course but is more challenging than my senior seminar in economics. i would not recommend this class....to anyone. BE WARNED!!!!!

Prof. Glancy is very knowledgeable and interested in the New Testament. You need to do the reading to fully understand the material, but it's well worth it if you're interested in learning. If you don't do the reading, you'll probably be kicking yourself when you get your quizzes back.
