Jim is a great instructor. He connects theory with his real life experiences in a form of lecture. He has what it takes to teach his students to be effective trainers. Learning is fun in his class. However, sometimes he tends to move away from a topic of discussion. Be involved in his class; he rewards who do. He outlines exam questions. Listen!

Comment:

Jim's nice and has a lot of experience, but I zoned out during all his lectures. His stories aren't always relevant to what we're learning, and this course is very vague. Textbook is really boring. Takes poll on what you want for the final, don't vote for short answer each question requires 2-4 paragraph answers and are really specific.

This a boring class. You are only tested on definitions and the assignments are easy. Take it online and save yourself the time, I think the final is open book (online only). Jim has a ton of industry experience but he is just as bored with this class as the students are. His lectures are about himself and won't help you on the exam. Read the text!

this guy knows what he's talking about and goes beyond the book to get the point across. uses real life scenarios wether from his business experience or current events to relate course material.... top of the line, they dont make them better than this!

Jim's awesome overall. He's very smart and has the greatest humor. He rewards those who work hard and gives them recognition! He's clear on exam and assignment outcomes and a professor I'll always recommend. He likes a good debate and relates course material which is beyond dry and boring to what's going on arond the world! Get his class if you can

Great lectures. This guy truly has gone everywhere and done everything. You can learn a tonne of stuff from this guy if you pay attention. Tests are easy, gives lots of bonus marks. Lectures are hilarious!!! This man is a genius!!!

Worst professor in my experience at Grant MacEwan. He sure likes his Tim Hortons coffee, which got in the way of his teaching. He concentrated a little too hard on the stuff!
