The tests were impossible. The class was curved so much because no one was doing well. Sen is not a good teacher, he is difficult to understand and he is extremely boring and does not explain things well.

I was not very crazy about Dr. Sen. He was very monotone during lecture and was hard to follow. He also does not make his own slides and seemed like he didnt care. Exams are tough and are worth 80% of the grade, but the class got curved at the end. TA office hours, LA sessions, and reading the e-book/ doing the homework (not mandatory) are a must.

While he is a decent lecturer, he had a bunch of extra credit up on his page that was for another class. I had to show him his canvas page in office hours for him to even realize that it was there. I dropped the class, but I'm sure that some people stayed in because they thought the litany of extra credit that he had posted would save them....

not a good professor at all. made me dislike chem 100x more than I already did after taking chem110. closes the clicker literally after 2 seconds and if you bomb one exam there's no coming back from it. Practice exams kinda help but not really.

Horrible professor! I work really hard at chem because it is a naturally challenging subject for me. He gets problems wrong during lecture and is corrected by students. He never says when he's about to close a clicker which is ANNOYING. Only reason I passed was because of Lion Tutors & only went to lecture for clicker points towards the end of sem

Dr. Sen is a really nice guy, but Penn State didn't hire him to teach Gen Chem. He's a very smart guy but not really a teacher. His lectures are very boring and do not give any insight that you can't find in the Gen Chem e-book. CHEM 112 is not a difficult class, just do all the readings and you'll be fine.

This guy is so bad at lecturing its unbelievable. He made this class way harder than it needs to be, and barely knows how to teach it.

I liked Dr. Sen a lot. He has the ability to make dense material a bit more palatable. I probably didn't make it through this class since I find chemistry to be quite a difficult subject, but I know that it was really not his fault that I couldn't make it through. He takes you through examples step by step during the lecture, which is helpful, too.

I think I did ok in this class, it's not because of the professor. 1. if you are looking for a professor with passion, don't take his class. 2. if you want to get a clear explanation or clarification of some hw problems or practice problems, don't take his class(He didn't know what he was explaining. only can explain thing with his prepared notes

Chem 112 is just a challenging class, but if you have to take it, I think Sen is a good choice. All prof's for this class grade based off of the same rubric, but he makes class interesting, and makes it not so miserable. Study using the practice exams, they are very helpful.

Our class seemed to get gradually taken over by the head TA in the last few weeks of the semester, so near the end we barely saw Professor Sen. However, he explains problems clearly and does his best to make some dense material interesting.

Sen really knows his stuff and is a really nice guy. The class is essentially run by an admin (not Sen) and they make the tests very tough. Do practice tests. Sen's quality of teaching seemed to decline as the semester went on and didn't show up for the last few weeks. His sweater vest game is on point.

I actually really enjoyed this class. Dr. Sen tries to make it as interesting as he can, incorporates clicker questions and example problems into his lectures, and tries to keep them as focused as possible. This isn't meant to be an easy class, but work hard and use the resources given to you and an A is definitely within your reach!

He is not very good at explaining. CHEM 112 is a difficult class already, and his lectures were not terribly lucid. He is a nice man, he knows his stuff, and he genuinely cares about his students, but he's just not that great of a teacher. He never actually finishes problems in class, which is frustrating. Not awful, but take w someone else

Ayusman was the man. Funny guy, he has a good attitude when he's teaching. He makes lectures tolerable. Unfortunately, however; clickers make attendance mandatory. Chem 112 overall is a hard class, but if you do enough practice exams you can get the hang of it. Lion tutors helps, and the HW packet problems too. argyle sweater vest every day too
