Comment:

She is truly an amazing professor. taken her over multiple classes now and each being great. Usually 5 exams all multi-choice and drops the lowest one. A couple of quizzes including some freebee take home online assignments. No homework outside that. Always provides a study sheet and exams become easy when you use those. Highly recommend her.

Comment:

Dr. Petersen teaches hard classes, but she tries her best to be caring and attentive. I took her ecology and she plans interesting trips! She is passionate about her field of study and cares greatly for the Environmental Science students. Highly recommend her. Review all the study guides she gives you because her exams are DETAILED.

Comment:

Took Dr. Petersen for 301 lab. She is a very nice teacher but has a Dry sense of humor. Her tests are not hard and they are very straightforward. If you want to pass you must go to the student center and practice studying the models of the body or you won't pass this class. No hw, no quizzes. Only 4 exams. Would take this class again for sure!!!

Lectures are extremely boring as she reads of off powerpoints while the whole class falls asleep. Tests are extremely hard as review is up to ourselves.

I have to disagree with the negative comments above. I took her Microbiology lecture and thought she was wonderful. She is always helpful to students who have questions to ask and her tests are not that bad if you really pay attention, understand the materials and study.

She is my nightmare. I wish I had listen to reviews and didn't take her class. She uses slide and repeat what's in there. Her exam are hard and she gives no extra credit. The whole class failed the 1st exam and she didn't seem to care. You tube is been my savior. If you can don't take her class

This professor is great. She gives an introduction with the power points for 10 mins which are helpful since you can study them at home for tests. After that's done, she then teaches on her own. I always asked questions and she always answered them. I liked her.

Dr. Petersen is very helpful and funny. Her quizzes are hard and very detailed. You really have to study hard to do well in the class. Do the review questions at the end of every lab, she puts them on quizzes, study guide is very helpful. She is very particular and a tough grader, but she is there if you need help, easy to approach and talk to.

Had her for lab and lecture, her exams are difficult and for lab her quizzes are very detailed and hard. She doesn't allow you to talk or work w partner. She is very nice and funny. To pass her class you need to STUDY STUDY!!!!

I had Petersen for lab & lecture fall 2014, For lecture she had a lot of notes for powerpoint and does give study guide and she does put questions from study guide but very detailed. Her exams are hard, you need to STUDY hard to pass her exams. For lab, she rushes through too fast and quizzes are difficult and detailed. STUDY STUDY!

She's one of the best professor for lab. She gives you the directions and notes that will be on the test. Her tests are directly related to her handouts and notes. Plus, she's funny and very nice. Just STUDY the notes and everything she gives.

I had her for lab and she tries to make everything as simple as possible. Her quizzes are straight forward and come directly from what she teaches in class. She writes a lot of notes on the board. You need the lab manual and if you miss class you miss a lot.
