Comment:

Shame for the college. Inconsistency, absence of logic, sloppiness, favoritism to name a few of her methods. I needed an A, as I had a 4.0, so I had to drop the class a month before the end of the semester, as it was completely unclear to me where I was standing, despite working really hard. It's been very tough to withstand it psychologically.

Initially I thought she was going to be tough and all. But as the semester went down, she seemed to be interesting. Although the topic of food eating habits in America is not interesting at all, the class is not that bad. She has a strict attitude but if you do your readings and write good essays,she will give you good grades.Be ready to work hard.

Rude,inconsistent,biased,lazy,and has draconic grading. 2 classes spent writing an essay on a 30sec commercial,wtf. Easy B if you're willing to sacrifice your integrity and dignity as a human being for a semester. I avoid her to this day. Students should not punish themselves by taking this professor; you'll walk away with less than began with :(

Easy stuff, interesting topics. Teacher hard to put up with but its worth it. She can get annoying, but just agree with what she says and DO NOT fight with her. Really easy material, do the reading, few essays. No final, just final essay.

She is very disrespectful and definitely has her favorites.If you wish to be one of them then prepare yourself to be ready to kiss her a**. She thinks that her opinion is the only acceptable and students are stupid and don't know anything. You don't get grades throughout the semester, but she doesn't surprise you with a very low grade at the end either. However, she is a difficult person to put up with. Very annoying, lots of mood swings, very rude at times, and annoying assignments, many of which don't have a point. Frustrating and not worth it in the end.

Prof. Kyd is a really hard professor to rate-lots of mood swings..very unpredictable. You just have to learn how to put up with her and find humor in the situation. If you do what you have to do she wont bother you. i do agree with what people say about favoritism as well.

no syllabus, no book no clarity. You go the class and you don't know what's gonna be next. At the end of the class you put all your works in a folder called-portfolio and hand it in.She doesn't have grades during the semester, just "pass" or "do it again". It was an interesting class. Not too much work-no syllabus-she makes it up as she goes along according to the level of the class. Do NOT attempt to plagerize-she's very smart and knows whats on the Internet! Buy the books-you may need them. You MUST participate in class every day or else you will fail! Overall, great class for an easy A!
