Comment:

He is the best professor I have taken for biology. He is not easy, but you will learn. I am not a bio major, I am actually a criminal justice major, and decided to take this as GE course. I took his class fall 2010. I have never enjoyed a class so much. You will come out of there with a better understanding of marine life. Study & ask questions!

Don't take this teacher. He's a nice guy but if you're not interested in Biology, he treats you like a second class student. He's completely indifferent to someone not doing well. He does know the subject very well but considering it's a GE class, the work load is that of an advanced bio class. You have to work for butt off for a mediocre grade.

Sweet and funny personality, he is a wonderful person. However, it is hard to follow his lectures especially when things that you are supposed to know for tests aren't too clear and he rambles going on tangents often.

DONT TAKE HIS CLASS. He is very old and egotistical. If you ask a ? he makes u feel stupid. Thinks his subject rules the world. Tests on stuff he didn't cover or tell you. AVOID HIS CLASS. Needs to retire. He is very unfair in grading. He wants you to write his exact words on essays. Wish I hadn't wasted my time, but needed class.

He is amazing! i came into the class 2 weeks late and he allowed me to join. I love his style of teaching and his lectures are interesting because he will start by saying... water is pure... and then an hour later he ends the lecture by saying... that is why water is pure. He may be older... but retains information and gives it VERY WELL.

Comment:

Taking a 5 unit class over summer was not a thing I was looking forward to. Fortunately, I found myself is professor Dudley's class, which provided me with ample interesting information on the subject as well as graphic yet funny stories about intestinal parasites. Certainly recommended for his expertise, passion, and approachable nature.

He may seem dry, but he is actually a cool,funny guy. He has a good sense of humor that comes out from time to time. He sometimes goes on tangents, but teaches what is needed. In tests and lab quizzes you do not get surprises. Good test reviews. It seems he cares for his students. Field trips are cool. Good professor, good class. Recommended!

I had him during the summer. He gave a short answer quiz at the start of each lab, but he basically handed out the exact same questions a day before. Tests were MC & short answer, but there were no surprises. He told us exactly what to prepare for. To succeed, write exactly what he writes on the board and study it! Simple A! Thanks Gordon! :o)

Awesome teacher! Lots of material, 4 tests, 2 field trips, lots of essay questions. Mr. Dudley presents everything in an interesting way hand has great stories. He let's you know exactly what will be on the tests and what's expected of you. I give him an A+

Mr. Dudley is very interesting to listen to. My only issue is that he doesn't write some things on the board that we are expected to remember. Fun labs; the best ones are where you get to look at sea creatures under a microscope. 3 field trips to the beach that start at 6 AM but don't let that scare you away! Explains what is on the tests/quizzes

Good teacher. Explained things well. Straight forward. You knew what to expect on the test. No trick questions. Expect essay's on tests, and lots of lab quizzes. 3 field trips. Could get an A If you're willing to work hard.
