Joe is a great professor. He provides handouts every class and has amazing lectures. A lot of extra credit provided and take home tests for the most part. He makes it easy for almost everyone to get an A as long as you put the time and do the HW. Easy A, learnt a lot.

Comment:

Joe is a nice guy and caring professor. His class is structured for students to get an A. He offers so much EC, retakes, and corrections. Exams will be take-home given you do the ICE, otherwise they are open-note. Tbh I thought the class was too easy. Esp bc it was so easy for students to cheat, but to each their own. His notes are legit though.

Joe makes it easy to do well if you follow his advice. Earn your ICE points early on easier chapter sections, so you don't have to worry about accruing enough to meet the amount needed to earn take-home exams instead of in-class ones later. ICE/homework sets are VERY reasonable and exams are open notes. Best math class/professor I've ever had!

The guy is incredible! knows what he is talking about and always helps you if you have questions, his ICE hw is what is normally is on the test and go hand to hand. The class itself is tough but he lets you work with him and everyone around you and is very relaxed on everything. You have to try really hard to fail his class plain and simple

Class is not too challenging because he lets you use notes on exams, and most of the exams are take home. Plus there are so many opportunities to get extra credit.. You really have to try to not get an A in this class.

His lectures were hard to follow, but the open notes tests make up for it. I didn't like the fact that it's so easy to get an A. Everyone gets an A if you show up and do the work. Not a good class if you plan on being challenged. There's A LOT of extra cred. and ICE pts (you'll see) Maybe too much if you ask me.

Good teaching style. His lectures are relevant to the tests you'll take, and he does his own so he makes the lectures as clear with notes as possible. This teacher is great, attendance is a must because you don't want to miss the lessons but if you'll go you'll learn and understand this hard math

Joe loves math and he will show it in his class. Make sure you do the homework and ICE. His test are just like the ICE and homework. Keep your notes and homework problems in your journal. He will let you use the journal on tests.

Gave many opportunities to earn extra credit. Homework that was assigned were similiar to the ones on the test so their shouldn't be any reason why one would fail...unless they didn't care to try.

If you have to take calc, dont take anyone else! But dont take advantage of it.. DO THE HOMEWORK and TAKE NOTES! If you do these things, you will get an A, as tests are open note and take-home, and questions come directly from hw probs. Also tons of extra credit! I took calc b4 and withdrew, and now this is the best class I've ever taken!

Let you use the homework problems in your journal for tests. Skips steps and goes extremely fast when explains new material. He gives handouts explaining the new material, for you to paste in your journal. You only have to do 100 pts of ICE. If you complete more that 100 points worth of homework, one fifth of it can be used as extra credit.

Had this professor for MAT220 and MAT230. I have taken Calculus before and struggled with it. This prof really helped clarify the subject, and made it easy to comprehend. As long as you do the homework, take good notes and ask questions on problems you don't understand, you'll ace this class. Highly recommend this prof!

If Joe only taught every other class I have to take! He really is the best teacher I have ever had, and I have absolutely no complaints.
