I took him both semesters freshman yr&I don't agree with these ratings. he does seem to get frustrated with you if you aren't getting it right away & goes pretty fast, but. he's a great professor. He cares about you and wants you to pass. There is a ton of mymathlabs, tests & quizzes but they're exactly like the problems he goes over in class.

He is a hard professor you'll be teaching most of the information by yourself. I recommend to take College Algebra with someone else or get help from someone is good at this subject. I'm currently struggling to receive a C by the end of the semester.

Comment:

I did NOT try in this class, but when I sought him out privately, he worked so hard to help me succeed. Warning: SO MUCH MyMathLab; DON'T put it off. When he emails powerpoints, print them off + take notes on them during class. Keep these in a binder. He allows a cheat sheet for the final, and if you type it you can fit practically all the notes.

I have never had a teacher so difficult to work with and who has such a lack of understanding for his students. He explains things in an extremely complicated way and when you ask him question he will make you feel stupid while managing to still not answer the question at hand. Be prepared to teach yourself the material. Worst prof I've ever had.

He is a nice guy, but not a very good teacher. Made mistakes almost every day during lectures that students had to correct. You will be teaching yourself a lot of the material because he often does not make sense and you leave class confused.

Wow... Hardest class that I have ever taken. I love Calc and I am quite good at it, but this was hard. First class that I have EVER made a C in. He is a good man, but just doesn't teach well.

He isn't clear on the material. He makes it more confusing than I actually think it is. He isn't clear on what's due and when. He's not all that good with technology, which we had to use in class, so that was frustrating.

The reviews for this course are NOT accurate. Dr. Beauchamp is super approachable and helpful. AS long as you do the suggested homework and actually study, it is definitely possible to do well in this class. He always checks to make sure everyone understands the work. The people who complain are the people who won't do the work or pay attention.

All his tests and quizzes were exactly like the examples in the book. DO THE HOMEWORK! It helps a lot. His final was pretty easy. And things make a lot more sense when you ask him to explain one on one than they do in class.

Mr. Beauchamp is a very sweet man and is willing to help you if you need extra help outside of class. His office hours are horrible, so if you need help you need to plan your day around his hours. His is very stressful and if you care about your GPA do NOT take his class. His tests and quizzes are hard so you have to study or you will fail.

HORRIBLE teacher. I cannot even begin to explain how hard this class is. I was always fantastic at math and he practically told me I was stupid when I got an 89 on my first test. He literally laughs at you when you ask him questions and he just tells you to look it up in the book. He doesn't actually help!!!

He has a great personality, but 350 characters is not enough for me to describe how terrible of a teacher he is. His class is unorganized. He will confuse you even more than you already are, and he can't teach to save his life. He cuts you off when you try to ask questions and goes through problems at lightning speed. Definitely not recommended.

Really nice man, but cannot teach to save his life. He is the only teacher I have ever had who can further confuse me on a topic after a lecture on it. He thinks that math must be done his way, for instance I failed multiple quizzes even though the problems that were counted wrong had the right answers. Stay away, worst professor i've ever had.

He was a great guy, very sweet and kid. Teaching, he went fast but stopped and explained things to you if you asked. He is willing to help after class and during lunch hours. If you need extra time on the test he will give it to you. He gave me 30 extra minutes once. he gives a lot of homework and quizzes but you need to do them to succeed.

He goes a little fast in class, but is more than willing to stop at any time to explain and will always help outside of the classroom. I could only come during his lunch hour, yet he was always happy to help. He is so sweet and his jokes and love for math made me laugh every day in class.I can't wait to take him again.

His lectures are not the best and he moves quickly. There are daily quizzes and hw assignments. His class is hard, but not impossible. the best way to learn the material is to do lots of the hw problems
