Comment:

Very easy class that fulfills multiple liberal learning requirements. Take home midterm and final and a very easy presentation. Grading is completely arbitrary but if you ask him to take a second look at an assignment he'll raise your grade. He doesn't take attendance so there's no need to sit through the 3 hour class. Take him.

Comment:

He's a very chill guy, but almost every 3 hour class was him attempting to teach us something for 30 mins max, then talking about something irrelevant for the next 2 and a half hours. I'd probably be okay with it if I wasn't interested in the class, but I needed to learn about creating websites for future classes and I didn't learn anything.

Amazing. If you're looking for a chill class to be your liberal learning he's your guy. Attendance doesn't matter but he's hard to get a hold of outside class. I would say easy A but there are a few assignments. And the course material and videos he shows are surprisingly interesting. Overall chill guy - 10/10 recommend

Very funny and laid back. Good guy to have a conversation with before class on sports teams or daily news. Really enjoyed the class. Having an easy A is never an issue for me.

The class was the easiest thing I've ever taken in my entire life. However, if this were a completely new topic to me, I would probably have had a more difficult but still not very time. He doesn't actually teach the class. I learned more about him and his life than the actual subject matter....

This class is definitely easy. You will sit through class and listen to Professor Winkel talk about his life the whole time and watch some movies; however, while not difficult, the assignments have nothing to do with what he talks about in class and there's no reasoning behind the grades he gives.

Professor Winkel is a nice guy, but he didn't really teach anything. His class was by far my easiest class last semester. 3 short papers, a research analysis & a presentation. Attendance is not mandatory & class is an easy A if you do the assignments on time. We mostly watched movies & other presentations between discussions about random stuff

Professor Winkle's class on Race , Class, and Gender is awesome! I absolutely loved it, I would highly recommend the course & the professor. He's great, easy class too!

He keeps you involved! No matter what, he tries to make the class relate to all! Athough he does speak about his restaurant and family, he is very motivating and helpful! Give a little effort and you will definitely pass!

Seriously the easiest class I took so far. All we did in class was listen to him talk about his family, his restaurant, and nothing really relating to the actual class. All he grades are papers (which are simple) and a final presentation which is an easy A.

His class was a total waste of time. Cool guy, but shouldn't be teaching. He picks favorites and grades completely subjectively. He shouldn't even give grades. All we did was sit there and listen to him ramble on about cars and his life.
