Comment:

Professor Harrigan is a legend! I love him so much, he is one of the reasons why I wanted to continue with Communication Arts with the spirit of inspiration caused mainly by him. He is one of the best professors!

Comment:

I'd say he is a bit direct in his grading. Like he won't accept your answer during a lecture or on a test unless it aligns with his definition or with his lesson. I can see why he is able to earn respect and admiration from students, it's earned for sure, but it's almost robotic. All that said, he's great, entertaining and you'll learn a lot.

Took many of John's courses. Intro to Communications, public speaking and language art visual sound. His lectures always start off with a personal story & ties it in to come full circle. He's the reason I want to pursue something within Communications. I was a general study student. Wish I could take every course with him. He's beyond great.

Best professor or teacher I ever had. He's had a ton of experience with what he teaches. The lectures are simply amazing. Hilarious. Inspirational. Every one of his legendary stories has a purpose for the class. Only thing I recommend is attend every class. You miss one, you'll miss a lot of notes. Would love to go back and sit in another class.

Absolutely the best professor I've ever had. I make sure to take a class with him every semester. Seriously, if you have an opportunity to take one class with him, do it. He makes every topic relatable and interesting. Everything he does seems to have a purpose and his classes are best described as a journey.

I have taken four classes with Professor Harrigan now and I can say, without a shadow of doubt, he is the best professor I have ever had or will ever have. He captures your mind at the beginning of each class and doesn't let go until the amazing final lecture. Incredible teacher, amazing person and one of the most influential people in my life.

Amazing professor! I can say without a doubt that he is the best professor/teacher I've had in my ENTIRE life! Definitely don't pass up an opportunity to take a class of his! He's smart, funny, and tells amazing stories that fit into the lecture and sometimes intertwine with each other. You can tell he puts a lot of time into classes!

Dr. John Harrigan is a born teacher. It's a privilege to be in his classes because of all he shares and all I learn. John cares about each student and they feel it. His energy, personality and command of teaching styles surpasses any professor I have had. After each class, I am "on fire" for the next one. John ignites that spark for learning!

I went to ECC and then transferred to a 4 year SUNY school. I am about to graduate and can honestly say in all of my schooling at both schools, John Harrigan was the best professor I have ever had. I loved going to class, because it was interesting. It wasn't the easiest class, but is informative and prepares you for any other class you will take.
