The man is a jerk. No partial credit. Made us by a $120 textbook that he wrote and its full of mistakes. Homework and exam questions are very unclear. Does not care about students and doesnt know anyones name.

Comment:

Great professor for Hydraulic Design. AutoCAD is used so learn it before class or 2 of the projects will take you a long time to complete. There's 4 projects compared to other professors where there's 3, but I think he's still worth it. The 2 technical reports he will tear you apart on, but it's all for the best. He's preparing you for your job

He's pretty good, but fairly difficult. If you're willing to work you can do well, but it was harder to do OK in than most classes. Had hum for Fluids and Hydro.

Super easy and short homework, but never felt like I learned much. Midterm was multiple choice, and people didn't do that well. The final was not multiple choice. Both were open book. Grading was 40% midterm, 50% final, 10% HW.

Lowe is a chill professor. Makes lots of jokes in class. Not too many notes. Fluids is tough, but his methods makes the material easier, so pay attention in class. Quizzes and exams are open book, but gives no partial credit. Do the HW problems he gives out every week, most of the time, they are very similar to the exams.

Dr. Lowe is not a bad teacher. You need to attend class. His tests are open book. However, the textbook is less than stellar. Make sure to get the notes if you were not in class. He is useless when you see him for extra help. He does play favorites. I didn't enjoy him as a professor, but at MC which professor will you enjoy? They all are terrible.

Interesting course. He was fair and straightforeword with this course. His notes are clear and he knows what he wants. This course had minimal calculations and he tried to make it as interesting as possible.

We ended up yelling at each other over a quiz that asked to write a program that would compute any numbers of variables and his answer that only looped for 100 variables... Wouldn't take him again. Only got a good grade 'cause I have some previous knowledge of the material. If you get him take really good notes- the quizes are open book.

I have taken him for all the classes he teaches (i think) even for the grad classes. He is really good teaching. He is easy, very laid back and histerical. You will love his australian accent and his looks.

I found him hysterical. It was fun to go to his class. He is very indifferent however but that is a good thing sometimes. His tests are straightforward and nothing out of the ordinary. Cool guy

Comment:

Knows his stuff, and not too easy. Gives you a break when you need it. Allows you to hand in homeworks a day after without any penalties (once or twice). Overall a good professor.
