One of the best professors I ever had. I graduated from CSUN, went to grad school at UCLA, had a very successful career in software, and am now retired. He's one of my favorites and I remember him fondly after all these years.

Motil is a good teacher. He really is good at concepts. However, I had a problem with the next class in the series, because his material was inconsistant with the material of the other professors. I would like to see him use more Java and not JJ.

A lot of work, but it was so worth taking his class. I saw his ratings here, but I had to take his class because of my work schedule. He was one dedicated professor. I will take his class again if he comes back. I even miss his Canadian Jokes!

After taking this class i reconsidered my major. thought probably i was too dumb for comp sc.Thankfully i stuck with my major, coz the other proff as not as crazy as him. He is a horrible proff! He is very unorganised, never clear on the grades, and never suggested any helpful comments to do better in the class. And his JJ is as crazy as him!!

What an idiot. If you're a math major do NOT take him. He teaches you nothing. Makes you use his program Java Junior saying it helps you learn Java. No it doesn't. You just become more confused because the two programs are nothing alike. Run really fast. But don't run to Covington either. Bad men.

Don't ever, EVER take this professor!! He is THE worst professor. I tried to ask a question and he simply said, "Look in the book." He actaully said that a 40% average on the midterm was good. Worst, wort, worst professor!
