Rhodes is a solid professor, but lectures can get a bit boring. Easy A if you show up though, and one of the easiest PS gen eds you can take.

Easy enough, there isn't much work involved. Classes are boring and not necessary to attend. When studying, you realize how disorganized his slides are which is so annoying. Definitely look over study guide and review slides. Don't buy the textbook.

Rhodes was funny but lectures were boring. Exams were easy enough if you studied the study guide. Final exam was a real doozy though. Pretty easy as a GenEd, didn't have to go to lectures, notes online. Go to review sessions before exams even though the TA has less of a clue than the student do. If you don't look over notes, don't expect an A.

This class was wicked easy. I only went like 6 times all year and I got an A-. There are 3 tests, and before each test there is a review session that tells you everything you need to know plus his slides on online. There is only one other 2 page writing assignment. Rhodes is a really nice, sweet guy, but his class is so boring.

Prof. Rhodes is awesome! He is a great teacher who knows his stuff. The lectures are boring to no end, but as long as you go to the review sessions, you'll get at least a B in the class.

lol wow this has to be the most boring class at UMass. But you dont have to go to class, gives 3 exams and no hw or quizzes. just make sure you go to the review session. pretty easy class but if you do want to sit through a lecture, be warned that you will fall asleep within the first 10min lol, unless your into geology then more power to you.

This class is so boring but you don't really have to go to the lectures. All the notes are online. I went to maybe 5 lectures all semester and missed an A- by 2 points. Go to the review session and know everything on the study guide. The book is worthless. Don't waste the $60, you don't need it.

His classes are about as fun as watching paint dry, he doesn't use PRS, and he puts all his slides online. That encourages people to not show up often. Don't do that! I'm doing poorly in the class because it's hard to learn so much data in one or two days. Expect to read a 100 slides per test, with lots of info on each and hardball quiz questions.

Class can be boring but the notes are online. He's a good professor and has a lot of entertaining stories about his experiences out in the field. The tests can be difficult because they're on more specific materials than the lectures would indicate, but if you look at the study guides, you'll do fine. The grading scale is great too.

He is extremely friendly and obviously really loves what he is teaching. Sometimes it is a little difficult to understand exactly what he is talking about, but if you read the notes and bring them to class you'll be fine. He reminds me of santa claus which makes it easier to pay attention in class, and I love his scotish accent.

Good, funny guy. Lectures are boring and not very useful to go to. Tests are pretty hard, but the grading scale is rediculous. A normal amount of studying will land you at least a B most likely a B+. Recommend for an easy GEN-ED
