Comment:

I have heard bad reviews about Dr Smith. I personally like him, yes he is very tough, but if you talk to him outside the lecture, he is very caring. I studied a LOT for this class, this A cost me sweat and tears but it is doable, not impossible. This is college, you should be responsible and to wait for the profs to babysit you.

This was just the most boring class I've ever taken. He does nothing to try and make class interested. I don't see a point in going to class because I can just go home and teach myself at this point. I wouldn't recommended. At least he curves tests

Comment:

This is the hardest 100 level course I have ever taken. Dr. Smith does nothing in the way of teaching, he simply reads off the powerpoint slides. The tests are so hard that he needs to curve them about 20 points just to make it look like he is doing his job. The average before the curving of each test is around a 50%. DO NOT TAKE HIM!

He only takes attendance for like the first week. Do not get the textbook, I didn't even touch it. During class he basically reads off the slides. Do a group with your notes to take online quizzes. Study his past exams he has up, questions on big exams are literally just reworded. He's funny and the class goes by fast.

Had him for intro to bio and he basically just tells you that you have to memorize everything but if you use your notes for the online quizzes and look over his previous exams to study you'll be fine. He just reads off the powerpoint everyday and going to class was basically pointless.

Lecture is very boring he just reads off the slides. Attendance isn't mandatory i skipped all the time. Assigns mastering. If you study the slides online you will do fine. Going to class is pointless, textbook not required.

He seems not to care about his students, his exams are so difficult and because he creates his own test questions you basically can only study from the slides that he creates and the past test that he has posted online. He makes inappropriate jokes and talks down to most of his students. he also rarely explains anything. Avoid at all cost

He knows what hes talking about but intro bio 1 is soooooo boring. I actually changed my major so I wouldnt have to sit through bio 2 lectures. He writes his own test questions so you can only study off of his old tests online. I dont think he really cares about his students. He always talks down to the ones who dont do so well, or skip class.

Do not take this professor! All he does is read word for word from his slides, which he makes changes to but does not upload the new slides for student access. He skims the top and expects you to know exact and specific detail. Horrible professor avoid at all cost.

Nice guy but his lectures are boring. He expects you to read the book before class & if you dont youll be lost. He lectures entirely from the board too. His tests are one of the hardest I've had in college, very confusing & goes into great detail. Have to learn everything on your own. Only good thing is the curve Cumulative 100 quest. final also.

He is the worst professor on campus. His lectures are just him standing at the front of the lecture hall, reading word for word what is on his powerpoints. He does not go into detail in his powerpoints but then expects you to know all the little details on the exams. Reading the book doesnt even help with the exam. DO NOT TAKE HIM

I really don't have any complaints about Dr. Smith. His tests are fairly hard but he allows you to keep them to use to study for the final. It's not really that he is hard professor but more so the content that he is teaching is. Anatomy is hard but as long as you study his notes and listen to what he says during lecture, you should be fine.

Decent guy, but very hard for Animal Phys. I did well on the first test, ok on the second, and omg the final was ridiculous. Anyway, my advice is: Get a tutor, plus study a lot, and do the paper cause it really does help maintain your grade. I got a B with hard honest effort, couldn't ask for more considering a friend of mine dropped this class.
