Professor Turner is the man!Probably the most understanding professor at Bowdoin, and a really good guy. He does not take skipping class personally and accepts late work.

Comment:

He's really nice and understanding, but it's more like an English class that happens to be in Spanish. He assigns readings with vocab that only native speakers would know, but it's possible to do well in the class just by skimming them. He does do some fun things like have people bring in music, though. Only heard him speak English a few times.

Prof Turner inspired me to rearrange my whole education so I could add Spanish as a second major. He was a really challenging prof but rewarded fairly when you really put effort in. Before Joshua's burned down, he'd take classes there at the end of the sem

Confident lecturer. He's challenging, don't expect an easy A. He's especially tough on papers. He's a wonderful Spanish speaker, you quickly forget he's British. He enjoys assigning the most challenging poets, like Gongora, of Spanish literature.
