Comment:
This course is a lot of work, don't make the mistake of thinking it will be easy. You can get an A+ without the textbook but you must attend every lecture and take good notes. Buy the course pack and study the diagrams. Exams were challenging but reasonable, all other evaluations were graded leniently. She is willing to help outside of class.

I loved her. She made class very engaging and was willing to talk things through with you as much as you need. Her Final exam is SUPER difficult with way too much content and is what will screw you if you're not prepared... but everything else is fair. Trust me, if I can get a B+... you can as well. Work hard and you'll do great.

Doesn't provide good feed back. Point system is uninformative. Toughest grader I've ever came across. Lectures were very dry, due to monotone voice. The 5 quizzes through out the term are saving grace. Because her texts are just something else. The class could have been a good one.

the way she marked the exam its so unfair. when you go to see your exam there is no answer key will be provide in order to compare your answers. i actually asked her for answer key she said every student doing it differently, that's true but the is answer the same. sometime there is no respond to your email which is so unprofessional.

I never felt like I really got along with her, but she did make time to go over the midterm (which I did horribly on) with me. Once I realized that test answers had to be comprehensive instead of collections of factoids, I changed my study methods and managed to scrape a decent mark. There's a group project, but she's pretty lenient grading it.

A really good lecturer! Very clear and comprehensive, always willing to spend time on questions in class. The notes package provided for the course is an extremely helpful tool. Her marking on exams could be somewhat frustrating, as she struggled to explain why you lost marks in long answer questions after the fact. Overall very interesting course!

Great prof, knows her stuff. Constantly reading into new developments in field. Weekly quizzes ensure you won't fall behind, are easy, got 100% on almost all by just reading notes night before. Drops lowest quiz mark. Tests are hard. Marks paper+group presentation easily. Easy to talk to, will change marks. Other UoW profs should take note.

Judith expects a lot from her students, as many good professors do. Extremely intelligent, knows the subject matter well, and is up to date on what's new and relevant. This class requires a significant time commitment. Definitely a good idea to attend class and apply yourself. There's a lot to gain out of taking this class and JH is a cool lady.

Course outline a total mess, deadlines and notes are incomprehensible. Couldn't answer most questions, rambled on. Not worth the time required (that includes the ridiculous lunchtime lectures). Don't know why so many people like this course. Nice lady, horribly disorganized prof. Probably good for pre-meds, if you like memorizing STDs. BLECH!

The material was SO interesting but the class was INCREDIBLY hard. Fit a year of classes into 3 months. Forces you to go to class on the free period and write quizzes. You will get a lot out of this course if you take it, but be prepared for A LOT of work and HARD work. EXTREMELY hard marker. I still don't understand her marking scheme

She stuffs what should be a 6 credit hour class into a 3 credit hour section. She forces you to go to lunch hour lectures and expects you to do a mid term, a final, 6-10 quizzes which require you to read 30 pages each, a group project + presentation and a 10 pg paper. Way to much for a 3credit hour course. Her exams are real hard and nonsense.
