I had Dr. Bodenrader for a number of Calc classes in the late 90s early 2000s. Now, almost 20 years out of school, he is one of a handful of teachers whose lessons have stuck with me. If you have a chance to take a course with this man, do it.

He's a great man - very funny and amiable and warmhearted. And the class is quite easy. Don't buy the textbook! Everything you'll need to know on the exam is covered in class. (The final was quite hard though)..

Pretty good teacher. Funny yet weird sense of humour. Pay attention in class, he does use a lot of examples and if you need help just ask, he will give it to you. As for the textbook, I did not use that much and I still got an A. Just remember to copy down examples and get the answers. 4/5

I had Mr. B in spring of 81. It was an elective for me. Class of 300+. He called me in after the final and said "you have talent, change your major to EE" - I had no idea he even knew who I was. Needless to say, I am a tenured math instructor at a community college in California now. He changed my life.

I did not do a single homework assignment for this class and kept up just fine. He doesn't check homework and he reviews everything in class several times. Bodenrader makes sure every subject is crystal clear before he moves on to the next topic. He is also extremely funny, offers help when needed, and a lot of extra credit opportunities=]

Amazing professor! He is humorous and clear. The only thing I don't like are his exams, which have a large portion being pass/fail questions with no partial credit. He does make up for this with being very lenient in the rest of the exam however.

By far the best and funniest math teacher I have ever had. If you get on his good side he'll raise your grade. Although he does not take attendance he knows when youre not there so make sure you attend class so he knows you're trying.

Dr. Bodenrader is THE MOST AMAZING TEACHER! He always comes to class with enthusiasm and makes calc really easy to understand. I took his 224 and 225 classes (Calc I and II), and he's the reason I decided to become a math major. He's always willing to answer questions or help with homework (not that he gives much). He's a really fair grader, too!
