I really enjoyed this class and the teacher was aweasome. Enjoyed learning about his politcal view. Had to write one essay on your political view and he had about 3-5 exams. If you read the book and pay attention to what he says the answers are given that will be on the test. He gives you what you need for the test all you have to do is apply it.

He lectures a lot and expects you to have read the book to follow along with what he is saying. The topic is interesting enough though and he's nice. He's a very approachable teacher. His tests aren't bad, but you will need to rely on the text! There is one out-of-class essay which is easy peasy.

Independent Study is a must. He tells you to study the vocab. and gives essay prompt before exam. Requires a lot of studying. Might not teach next semester due to his health situation but he's not all that bad but not all that great. If you can, take someone else besides him. Great guy, not the best professor.

Fair, chill, intellectual professor. Easy A. He actually cares and wants you to do well. Practically gives you essay prompt options and vocab terms the day before exams. Discussions can be boring at times, otherwise, great professor.

I don't know where the other ratings are coming from because when I took the class it was A LOT harder. But I guess if you do put in the effort you can pull off an A, but it's no walk in the park. You have to basically agree with his principles otherwise you're done for!

Honestly, I came into the class thinking it was going to be very easy, however, it doesn't seem like he's the same Boyle other people are talking about. There are NO STUDY guides whatsoever, and when you write definitions on the tests, it can't be in your own words, it has to be VERBATIM from the book plus more.

Boyle is a very nice and easy teacher. This class is an easy A. He gives out the study guides for each exam. There are no debates or papers or projects to do. He gives quizzes the day before the test and their about his lecture. His lectures are kinda boring but this class is worth it.
