All you need to do is review his notes and understand them. You can practically memorize them and you will still do well in his class. You need to study though to do well. The book is hard to understand, but not too complicated.

Okay, he's really hard with his homework grades, and you can't really ever know what is on his tests for this class...but he knows his stuff. I would recommend ditching the book, because he explains stuff much better -- though you do need it for homework assignments. Basically, a LOT of studying before the test. Good luck!

Okay, he grades homework assignments on number per correct, so that can bring down your grade. Things he hardly mentions you will be tested on. I am normally an A student. I'll be lucky if i get a B minus.

I had Heiney for 210 and 211, and I think he is a great teacher. He is wonderful at breaking down difficult concepts and explaining them in ways even non-econ majors can understand. His tests are difficult and he holds you to a high standard, but gives you all the tools you need to get there. Highly recommended!

Hard class, but was very helpful, took time to help me understand and pull my grad WAY up, even though I was having the hardest time understanding the material, he's a really good teacher.
