The last 3rd of the class was the most interesting to me. Lecture heavy class, book is needed. The lectures were very content rich, had to type to keep up. Study guides given. I studied heavily but always left the tests feeling defeated, still always got A's from the curve. 3 exams, 1 presentation, extra credit. READ BOOK READ BOOK READ BOOK.

Professor E was definitely a great teacher! MUST READ THE BOOK! The tests are based off of material in the book and his lectures. He is very precise on attendance he does do an attendance log. As long as you read the material and pay attention to his lectures you will pass the class. The presentation he asks for is not tough at all and he offers EC

Dr. E teaches in a way that makes you feel that you aren't in a class. His lectures are just like interesting stories. Reading is a must! His exams are based off the book and his lectures which are 2 different topics but related. One presentation, which he counts as extra credit. His exams are really hard but he curves a lot. A LOT.

Awesome prof! I took 121 and it was a fun class to learn from! Good amount of reading but it's not bad. Just don't leave all the readings right before the test, trust me. Each student has to present a chapter from the book and one easy extra credit assignment. 70 question test. If you read and get good lecture notes you'll do fine!

Great prof! I took him for both Anthro 101 and 121. Very interesting lectures! Both have two midterms and one final each. 121 has three lists of readings to complete, one before each exam (are non-cumulative). One presentation in 121. 101 has cheat sheet for final. One extra credit each. Great stories, esp the crow one in 121! Highly recommended!

This was probably the most fun I've ever had in a "history/science" class (2 subject I am awful at). The professor has great lectures & gives wonderful visuals & examples. He answers questions. There is almost no homework besides the reading. Tests are long but the grading scale is very lenient. He makes you very interested in the topic. Loved it!

Dr. E is an amazing teacher. His lectures are really interesting don't be afraid to ask questions+ take A LOT of notes. We had 3 exams that were graded on a curve. All of the exam questions are based on lecture notes and the readings from the book. As long as you read and ask questions you'll be fine. He also offers extra credit opportunities.

This class was very boring. You have to create your own lecture notes. There are 3 tests which are very long and the questions are hard unless you dissect the book. The final test you do get a cheat sheet and the extra credit will boost you one letter grade which saved me

Eisenlauer is a GREAT professor in the fact that he is super interesting to listen to and holds your attention. His tests are HARD. We had 2 midterms and 1 final and i've never felt more confident going into tests and so awful leaving them. Luckily, he grades on a curve. Do the extra credit!

He knows his stuff and you can tell he is passionate about archaeology. But he literally kills the subject due to his mono tone voice. Lectures semi reviews the chapters but overall pointless. Labs are pointless but needed for credit. Overall the tests is textbooks. MUST READ TEXTBOOK to do well on tests. Start paper early to get it over with.

BORING. This class put me to sleep. The professor absolutely knows his subject & he is thoroughly experienced in the archeology field but every single class, except one, is him just lecturing about the assigned chapter. The labs were somewhat interesting but not really. Research paper due with high expectations from the professor. Test are 70+ Qs

Professor Eisenlauer is great! His grading is very fair. Although this is a very very hard class because his tests are specific, I still worked really hard and got an A. He's one of the nicest and most willing to help professors at pierce. If you show him you truly do care, he will go above and beyond for you to succeed in his class.
