Comment:

Prof. Daar is an amazing professor. She is kind and caring toward students. She challenges you to consider different perspectives. She does not impose her beliefs on you and does a really good job of providing all counterarguments when discussing an issue. Loved this class! Highly recommend!

Comment:

She's adorable and disarmingly funny. She explains things pretty well. Gave a mixed essaymultiple choice final that was easier than I was dreading. Only complaint: She's very evasive re: answering questions related to her exams. This probably won't be a big problem now that there will be TA's who've taken her, but we didn't have that luxury.

Comment:

People find her to be intimidating but I thought she was a nice lady. You will get called on once in Fall and once in Spring. If you give an honest effort during class, you're fine - if not then she'll come down hard on you. Her Fall exam was tough, but fair. Her Spring exam (non cumulative) was BRUTAL. You have to know all the small details well.

Comment:

Daar is very intelligent and knows it. She tries to make class as interesting as possible and tries to encourage students when she calls on them. Her exams are very difficult and she expects a lot from her students. She typically calls on each student twice throughout the year. (once in the first semester and once in the second semester).

Extremely knowledgeable and tries to make the class current using pop culture examples. Good professor and somewhat helpful in class, intimidating and somewhat condescending during office hours. Entertaining and does make some of the dry material more interesting. Will "get" you w/ RAP, then w/ insane multiple choice & essay questions on the final.

Comment:

Her exams are racehorse and very tough and she knows it, but she's very knowledgeable about the subject. Her teaching style is very straightforward. Study a lot. She's known to not be very helpful in office hours. She tends to want you to find the answer yourself and if you don't understand it she will look at you like you're a lost cause.

People say she's full of herself, the woman has a law degree, a med degree, teaches law and med and raised four kids, so it seems like she has good reason. Willing to talk outside of class, just have questions prepared. Reviews at the beginning of class are GREAT. ASK QUESTIONS IN CLASS

She is the nicest professor ever. She went out of her way to make sure we understood the difficult aspects of the class. Best professor, the entire class loves her. She is incredibly smart but does not talk down to the class in the least bit.

I had two semesters with her and didn't learn a thing about Property. I was better off teaching myself the law. If that was her style to act stupid and let us teach ourselves, then she did a good job.
