I took this class as an online summer class. It is offered on campus. She doesn't answer emails hardly at all, she said on the syllabus not to expect an answer for a couple days...I'm going to hope thats just because its summer? I don't know how she is in person but that doesn't set a good tone. Just expect a tough/uncooperative prof.

Honestly she's an amazing professor. She respects and understands students have a life out side of class. She grades on test and in class case studies. Just go to class, pay attention, take notes and you'll be fine.

Loved this lady! Took her for abnormal. Don't believe any negative reviews you see about her. She loves her students and is ALWAYS willing to help. She's very intelligent and knows a lot about her field. Learned so much in that class! If you study, the tests are easy. Case studies are also easy. Learned a lot from this class. 11/10 would recommend.

This past fall semester I took abnormal. I have never been so frustrated with a class in my life. I study for hours for exams and get low 60s every time. She gives nasty attitude while asking any question but her lectures are good. If you want to keep your gpa up DONT take abnormal with her.

Dr. Rauenzahn is really awesome. This woman is so interesting to listen to when it comes to field experience. She also has a lot of knowledge in the field of psych and law. I have her for forensic psych (PSY217) and abnormal psych. She makes you read from the book but it's only for the definitions. Can't say enough about her! I would take her again

not good at lecturing at all, very old fashioned does not make powerpoints she writes a little bit of notes on the chalk board, not good at explaining, doesn't help willingly. If you ask her a question she answers in a nasty tone and gets smart. Don't Take this class with her!!

She had a lot of experience in the field and has a lot of great examples for whatever you're talking about. Her lectures are pretty monotonous and boring and she only writes on a chalkboard. The tests are sort of difficult and confusing in that some questions could have multiple answers and you aren't always 100% sure. Good prof but boring

She is so boring, and contradicts herself after a long lecture. She has great stories and really knows what she's talking about. But again, after talking she'll say, "Well they really don't do that so..." and confuses everyone. Case studies done in class, bring your book on those days.

uses blackboard and lectures, must take own notes, she lets class out 5-10 minutes early. drops lowest exam grade and two lowest case studies. tests aren't difficult if you study, but you must attend class to pass. no homework or assigned readings, case studies are open book.

I would never take her again, she still uses the black board and lectures, so she doesn't have any notes for you, so you have to go to class to get them. everything she gives over in class is most likely never on the exams. case studies are easy because they are open book. exams are extremely difficult, so confusing.

Rauenzahn is a nice professor, but try to stay away from taking her for an 8 am class. She gives no out of class work & all of her exams are straightforward. She has interesting stories that relate to the topic of discussion and is a overall nice lady. Very knowledgeable and shows videos in class! Always lets you out 5-10 minutes early. TAKE HER!

Fairly easy but SO BORING! took this class at 8am, BIG mistake! maybe wouldn't be so bad at another time. 6 case studies that are open book, open note and she drops your lowest 2. 3 tests, drops lowest, not including the final

Although she looks like she hates life most of the time she is a pretty good professor. You just have to study for the test really good and make sure you don't forget your book when you have a case study. Also take a lot of notes even though she is the only person on earth who still uses the chalk board. She also has a lot of cool stories too.

She is horrible. After every section covered, she sighs anf then says, "But that doesn't really work, so..." and we as students are left wondering what the hell she is saying. She contradicts information in the book on her tests, so overall you're doomed.

Definitely go to class as she does not use powerpoint at all. Her notes are spoken and written on the board. She's a nice lady and willing to allow make-up assignments. Personally I saw the class more as a mythbuster's episode, because she often pointed out the misconceptions of forensic psychology. She gives open-book/note case study quizzes.

It's a shame that I really didn't enjoy going to this class because it's part of my major. She made the class so boring and I dreaded it. She is very clear on giving notes, however you might need to do clarifying from the text book for your own benefit. Tests are tricky but you throw out your lowest grade and two lowest case study grades.

Super nice prof. Exams almost entirely from class notes so attendance is mandatory. Only have to do 4 homeworks but if you do two extra, counts as 20 bonus points. She drops the lowest exam grade. So, altogether, not to difficult to get an A - her exams can be hard if you don't study or pay attention/skip class.

She is very good at helping you understand her lectures. She gives great examples. Her tests are based solely off of her class lectures so if you go to class and take good notes you should get an A. Her case studies are extremely easy and they are open note/book. She drops the lowest test grade and the lowest case study grade. Take her!
