Rude and disrespectful. For a Culture and Communications teacher, you think she'd be more open to various opinions. She seems to expect people to participate, but when they do, she ridicules their answers. AVOID if possible. The assignment are easy, but her grading makes no sense.

I really liked her class. She is a decent grader, will make sure everyone is been involved. Her culture's class is definitely worth it, though there is a significant number of assignments, if well done, it is easy to get high 80's. Honestly, she is one of the most polite teachers I have had :)

If you can find another prof., do not take her class. Her marking scheme is strange to say the least - she doesn't mark based on your English ability, but rather on how well you can spew BS on a piece of paper. Lectures put me to sleep in 30mins. Conflict between her and the students who have a different opinion on anything.

Has to be the worst teacher I've ever had in my schooling career. She doesn't explain clearly at all and leaves you to fend for yourself. She's a tough grader, fights with her students and doesn't respond to e-mails. Everyone's super bored in the class and her personality just clashes horribly with everyone.. PLEASE choose another teacher!!

Judy is an excellent teacher. She is passionate about the content she is teaching and thorough in her explanations. She is friendly and approachable. I really enjoyed the content and the class, though there were times it was a little boring, that is every class. She was not a difficult marker as others have said and I have an A in the class so...

Public speaking was vastly beneficial. In terms of an easy marker, Ill agree.She's not easy to please. Self-scrutiny can be good though. public speaking is an art. She demonstrated that.I suppose you shouldn't expect an 80 without prior 'strategic' experience in public speaking. You wouldn't want her as a comm prof if you cared about your GPA.

I don't care what others have said, yes may be she grades hard. I had her in my 1st sem at Georgian, she helped us a lot, knows her stuff like back of her hand, best comm teacher ever !!!!!

Perhaps the low average of her class isn't the fault of the students but the fault of an instructor who lays emphasis on the mundane. She is extremely difficult to please with a talent for making a boring subject even more unbearable. If you can, find another COMM teacher.

Avoid this instructor at all costs! I clearly demonstrated my proficiency in the course material, but my average was significantly brought down because meaningless grade traps. The average final grade for students in this class was in the mid fifties, and it wasn't because the course material was difficult. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS, SAVE YOUR AVERAGE!

Although the course material could have been made for middle school, Judy is a fierce, judgemental grader. I spent the whole class wondering why I was being forced to relearn grammar and punctuation (which at the post secondary level should be second nature). However, her nit-pickiness makes achieving a good mark in this class nearly impossible.
