Comment:

Picks and chooses who she will help. Felt that she grew impatient with what she considered too many questions. Loved the subject matter, but was very disappointed with class and what felt like passive aggressive behavior on teacher's end.

Comment:

Math comes easy for me, but a few topics in this course were difficult for me to grasp. Julie went out of her way to help me understand them. We used MyMathLab for some homework assignments, which I think made learning the material more difficult. It improved my homework score, but that's it. Julie is a great teacher who cares about our success!

I choose college math thinking it would be a good refresher, which it was. She covers a lot of material in a short time. Julie comes in on Saturday mornings for study sessions before exams, which is for our benefit and using her free time. She cares about her students and their success, pushing us to be our best.

In the beginning she tells you that if you haven't taken math for a while, you'll fail. Take her seriously. You need to have some recent pre-algebra type class fresh in your head to be successful. She doesn't slow down or spend much time on the problems. She's a very nice person but her style isn't for everyone.

She is an awesome person and teacher. Takes time to go over every problem if you ask. Does give homework most classes but she is realistic about it. Over all she is one of my fav. teachers and would take again. Anything bad I have read on here about here is not true, she is friendly and down to earth. This class is easy if you show up.

This is my least favorite class. For a begining math class it shouldn't be this difficult. She should understnad that some of us are terrible at math and should slow down and make sure we understand it. She is a very nice person and obviously very smart, but I wish she would slow down and quite making the tests as difficult

Best Math teacher ever! Competent, kind, funny, brilliant, engaged in the subject and the pedagogy. Do the homewOrk, show up to class and you will learn your math - even if you've always thought you were bad in math. In my educational life, Bellman is one of the top 3 instructors of all time.

BEST Math teacher I've ever had! When I went in to take her exam today, she had a waffle maker ready to make anyone a fresh waffle! Which were delicious btw. She is an awesome teacher. Willing to do anything to help you get the best grade in the class. She truly cares about you and you being successful in her class. Definitely recommended!

This is an excellent teacher! She does not use a textbook, but creates all the customized packets you need. She explains well, but is always available beyond class hours. She hand-grades homework and tests, and gives plenty of partial credit. Really impressive and highly recommended.

wish we all had the same calculator. spent a lot of class time showing each student how to use their own calculator, which was nice, but time consuming. I think would have been better if she just told us that we had to have a certain kind. And didn't like the text book. cost a lot of money. Maybe just do printouts of the homework?

i have never been good at any math. algebra, geometry, trigonometry,was not ever my subject, but i did appreciate Ms. Lancaster's patience in making sure we understood our lesson and when extra help was needed she was more than willing to do so.
