Every professor should strive to match the excellence displayed in Professor Billah's teaching skills. He makes complex concepts very easy to understand, and he has fun with it as well. He does everything in his power to help the students, and will always do his best to meet with students out of class to clear up any confusion. Please Check.

Billah is by far the best professor I have had here. He makes complex topics seem very manageable and he doesn't rest until everyone understands. I used to go to his office hours just for help, but now he's my faculty advisor and I go just to talk to him. Truly a gem at stevens.

Prof. Billah was great. He breaks down every problem so that anyone in the class can understand it. I would take his class again any time. If you have the opportunity to take his class for E 126, make sure that you have him.

He's the only one teaching Mech Solids so there's no point of looking here. But he's a great instructor. Teaching wise 10/10. Difficulty of exams also 10/10.

Great Instructor but very difficult exam. Dont walk into Billah's class thinking it will be an easy A because you are mistaken. Especially don't be fooled by the curve. You have to study a lot and put additional time outside the lecture.

Billah is honestly one of the most respected teachers I've ever had at Stevens. He seems intimidating at first (even had a bad first encounter with him), but I never missed a single lecture (and I tend to miss others like E&M lol). But if you go to class, take good notes, and practice, you'll be in good shape. He's great for help one on one too!

Great professor. Makes a dry subject very interesting and engaging. Ensures a full comprehension of everything from advanced engineering principals to the very basics of calculus. Everything you would want in a professor, assuming you are looking to learn.

Billah is actually wants to teach and he is good at it. Going to lectures and doing homework will guarantee a good grade. People say that for most classes, but for Billah you do not have to teach yourself anything since he explains things very well. Also intimidating at first but he is funny. My grade was because I did not do the homework.

Billah is the probably the most helpful teacher I have ever taken at Stevens, and I'm not even a civil engineer! Lectures are concise and follow a logical order. Actually teaches to the class using chalkboard examples rather than a Powerpoint. Attended every lecture. If you are smart and hardworking you will excel in his classes.

Perhaps the best teacher I have had so far at Stevens. Very enthusiastic about the material he teaches, and definitely tries his hardest to make the material relevant to his students. Excellent at teaching the strategies and thinking behind the problems that we do in class, and emphasizes that we analyze each problem rather than memorizing.

The best mech of solids professor you could get. Only one to really hammer in your head how to solve problems by teaching you the strategy and thinking behind solving various problems. Also amusing that he gave out cookies/oreos in class randomly for morning classes under the reason for "brain food." Anyways very clear in teaching and also helpful.

Had him for Mech Solids and Structures. Billah is a very good teacher - he teaches well, engages students, and although his tests are hard, the grading is very lenient. Finals are long though. He's very easy to talk to, but is a little harebrained. Is pretty friendly in his office, but don't get on his bad side.
