Graduate CS students in BU have to take this subject as mandatory core. But under his teaching, please highly avoid. Nothing you will learn important that can help you in future. His teaching and class notes are the worst. And he will never help you. AVOID !!!!

The professor cannot teach. Just assumes you know a lot of stuff and starts from there. More so he hopes the students learn the stuff on their own which shouldn't be the case.

Dr Ghose is a very intelligent man but he certainly is not a great teacher. The lectures carry all the content he wants to teach but his explanation isn't verbose enough. The notes he provides are literally of no use because they carry very less content. Definitely wouldn't take a class under him again. Would advise you to take someone else too.

He's so talented and pure genius, but speaks so fast with an heavy accent, I often find myself hard to follow his speaking. Projects and homeworks are hard.

You expected to know all undergraduate computer architectures concepts. Prof. Ghose is very professional and experienced. It was a honour to be taught by such experienced person. And cool stories are the good part of this course. There is a lack of communication between professor and TAs, so beware. If you will still alive, you will learn a lot.

Prof. Ghose is the best professor for Computer Architecture. He teaches concepts in deep and is very friendly with the students. His tests are hard to crack but they are fun to solve irrespective of how you end up scoring. His projects are hard but interesting to work on. All you architecture lovers, you are in for a ride ! Others will too love it.

Deep experience in his subject. Knows really well. Assignments could be better and more practical. Focuses too much on processors and ignored other devices, not even an overview. Every class went beyond time so I guess one semester was not enough. Whatever he taught was very well.

Very knowledgeable and very detailed lectures. Add 15 minutes to the lecture time because he always goes over. He uses his own notes instead of a textbook, which put me off at first. So I bought the Hennessy and Patterson book and discovered that Prof Ghose's notes were better than the text!

Professor is someone who not only provides you knowledge but also inspires you to become something in life. He is a very good person, always an inspiration, creates a humorous / lively atmosphere inside the class. I was privileged to be a student under him.

His 522 class is the best class I've ever taken, hands down. He doesn't have much time and sometimes the grades come out of nowhere, but I learned more in this class than any other I took there. His 529 class was also quite good.
