Do your hw and understand his clicker questions and you will be fine. Keeps your attention in lecture and presents the material in a manner that makes it easier to grasp. One of the best professors in the petroleum dept.

Comment:

Thompson is a great professor. He wants you to pass, but it is not a free ride. If you understand what is taught in class and do your hw and projects you should easily make and A or B. You will use this material in your upper level courses, math modeling is very important. Great class and great professor.

Comment:

Thompson understands the material. Thats for sure. Sometimes he overestimates the intelligence of his students, which make his lectures a bit tough to follow. However, he's usually around somewhere, ready to help after class. I would enjoy learning from him in future classes.
