I absolutely LOVE Kathleen Nolan. She is one of the most caring and thoughtful professors imaginable! I am so glad I took Psci 292 with her. I only wish she wouldn't allow so many people to ask questions that take up class time. She is one of my favourite Prof's at UW. She's hilarious and I was never bored in her class.

She was very friendly and kind, but very unclear with her lectures. The class was very dull and the textbook she had selected was not very helpful (out of order). Guest speakers were interesting. Need to pay very close attention to detail in her lectures. I found the midterm and exam to be okay but confusing and unfair sometimes

Lectures and guest speakers are interesting. The midterm wasn't difficult, however the exam was challenging and in some cases unfair. She tests you on small facts. She expects you to memorize sections of the criminal code where she quizzes you on the section number rather than the section title. I felt like I learned a lot more than my mark showed

Kathleen is PROBABLY a great prof, but I wouldn't know because she NEVER taught!! All she does is answer rediculous questions from the class. Most of the class has no idea about psci. I learned more in psci 101. It's sad because this class could've been a lot more interesting if she had've been more aggressive. Boring. Regretted taking.

Good Prof and an easy 90, just show up and write down everything she says. Outside of class time, the only time I studied for this course was the night before the midterm and final. Read the exam questions carefully and you should do good.

She goes extremely fast in her lectures which make them hard to follow and understand. She's nice if you ask her questions but sometimes, you're so lost, you don't know what question to ask. Her exams are extremely tricky - I did horribly the first exam. My average dropped 3% because of my mark in this class - if you value your marks, don't take

Amazing class, lots of topics that are fundamental to society but you never think about on a day-to-day basis. She is a very experienced lawyer, and there's always engaging class discussions.

Great professor, cares about her students, and really knows her stuff. I love that she is willing to acknowledge both sides of every "Morality and the Law" debate. Her exams are difficult because of the multiple choice format, but if you study and take serious notes you can't go wrong.

Great professor. Go to class, take notes, read the readings, and make notes on them. You can't go wrong. Very interesting material, and she knows her stuff and has great contacts (guest speakers) in the legal field. Recommended.

She summarizes the textbook people. The worst professor I've ever had. She tests on random small facts, it's all multiple choice. She speaks in a monotone. This class is passable but I'm sorry, I paid this woman to teach and she did not do that in the least bit. It could be a DE class.

Overall good prof, course is easy if you attend, take notes, and read the selected cases. Some questions are ambiguous on the mid-term and final (both multiple choice).

Interesting Course, really clear in her expectations really engaging, her midterms was reasonable but I found her final to be a lot harder, still got an high 80 in the class though, but take good notes because she tests on details!

Great prof. Brings in alot of guest lecturers and tries to make the class fun for students. She knows her stuff and gives you an interesting perspective. Her exams are all multiple choice and pretty simple if you attend every class. Although, she probably only lectures 2/3 of the term, with the rest of the classes some form of filler.

Very caring prof. Knows material, as a crown prosecutor. Many examples of concepts. 3/4 guest speakers were good, 4th was very long-winded. Exam material is straightforward, but watch for trick questions - read every question slowly, since I found many are easily misinterpreted. Not difficult, but not too easy either.

She's awesome! SO nice! She really cares about her students (She actually tried to learn all our names in a class of 250). 2 MC evaluations - you need to be on the ball and read the questions carefully, and you'll probably do allright. I found the guest speakers and class discussion interesting; if you don't care about law they'll bore you though.
