I'm guessing that most of the comments are from non-majors who took her for humanities. As someone who took her upper division courses (two of them), I can attest that she was a wonderful teacher who was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about her subject-matter.

Prof. Ringrose is extremely nice. Her lectures are interesting and she genuinely cares about her students. If you go to her office hours she will help you. She wants her students to do well. If you go to class and pay attention you should do well. I would definitely recommend her.

She was very clear on what was required of us and the tests were take home with a miderm essay. The topics were interesting and she had a sense of humor with the material. Go to class and do a little extra on research for your tests and paper and you can get an A

She really is a nice, cute, n very smart granny and unfortunately like a lil ol' granny tells the same stories...going off on a tangent. she doesnt follow her outlines at all. it can get very confusing...i didnt really like the map and timeline. she is such a sweet person, but her lectures are just not worth going to. no relevant points :(

Hey Professor Ringrose here's an idea: HAVE A POINT! It makes it SO much more interesting for the listener! I cannot believe how off-topic she gets. She spent 35 minutes on a tangent subject once and completely neglected the LECTURE material we are gonna get tested on. One of the worst professors at UCSD.

very boring teacher. i agree with everyone who commented her... my goodness. worse teacher i've ever had.. shes so boring, gives out lectures that are not even clear, she tries to be so funny and i've never laughed when she made a stupid joke. dont ever take it with her. i took it cuz here was not space in the prof i wanted. WOAH! She sucks as much as the 9th level of hell in Dante's Inferno. Talk about boredom, she goes off topic A LOT, you can't see her overhead, she doesn't really follow her lecture outline. this isn't a humanities class, it's an art history class. timelines, maps, slides, she's nice but she's like your grandma who tells you the same stories over.

She is one of those teachers that tries hard to please her students, but just cant. She gets all excited about her subject, and goes off. She starts to pick up speed and it gets hard to take notes. She just isnt a likable person/teacher.

I don't usually like bashing my teachers, but she SUCKS! She does not stay on topic, has no outline or agenda. Very boring. I stopped going to class because I got so discouraged. My TA is the only reason why I am learning anything. If you want to learn try taking another prof. She's smart just not a good teacher
