Mrs. Cantone is a very sweet lady. She actually does care about her students. She does give a fair amount of homework, and be ready to use the textbook. You must attend the labs on Friday to pass the course. On the tests she will take off for very little thing, so be ready for that!

Comment:

I had trouble understanding some concepts in statistics online. Professor Cantone was always available to help me when I needed it. I had to visit her several times to get help. She is also good at giving partial credit! Strict on missed homework! Very serious and outgoing personality.

Comment:

Cantone is one of those professors who is a very nice person, but awful at teaching. She will help you with anything you have an issue with, but she will make you look & feel so stupid about it. There is so much outside work & none of it relates to anything we do in class. The review sheet she gives you for exams are pointless, it does not help.

Ms. Cantone is probably one of the best math professors I have had. She is willing to go in depth in any problem you're having with the material, and she's always available for extra help throughout the week. The textbook can help, personally I never used it. She doesn't collect homework, there are multiple quizzes, and 5 test.

A really sweet lady. Just be sure to pay attention in class and do your part otherwise you'll get behind very quickly. She gives great review sheets and they're basically what the test is on.

Horrible; won't budge an inch to help. Quizzes and exams have a super short time to finish them with tons of questions within questions and calculations to do. Unless you have accommodations though OAR good luck getting any help with anything. So have fun rushing through everything and don't even think about double checking your work!

Easily one of the worst professors I've ever had. She's super rude if you don't know something, she'll basically tell you you're an idiot if you don't know something, gives horrible lectures and the homeworks and quizzes aren't what you do in class so you'll be lost when she gives you them. Avoid this professor if you can.

She absolutely loves to teach . she is extremely organized. She has alot, alot of energy - like she had 100 red bulls or something. she makes learning Calc easy and fun. the class is easy - but make sure to do the homework and quizzes outside of class.

She's a super sweet lady, but I don't know if I would call her a great teacher. She makes you think your getting it and on track in class, then gives you tests that are so much harder than the classwork and tries to get you to 'think outside the box'... she means well though. Graded assignments a few times a month and tests are all you're graded on

I was impressed by Prof. Cantone in many very first day of that semester. She told us :"I would like to study Calculus with you". She did not tell that she would teach us. She is really good and always pays attention on how her students understand every single section.

If you want an energetic and interactive math proffesor, Proffessor Cantone is a great choice. She explains things in a way I understand and gives lots of practice problems/examples. You need to be there for the labs or you can't pass.

A LOT OF HOMEWORK (handout and online) which is fine if you are not taking very demanding classes beside this one. Be aware though that quizzes won't look any familiar by the middle of the semester which may drop your grades, and she will ignore that. Tough grader , and the only 2 points extra credit will go toward lowest assignment only !!!

Very friendly and helpful professor! She only gave three tests plus the final exam, and 6 graded assignments that combine into one test score. The final did replace the lowest test score though if it helped you. If you follow along and do all the homework, and ask help when needed, you'll get an A. Otherwise, it will be extremely easy to fail.

Professor Cantone is a great professor. She is funny and makes things understandable. It's just that Calculus isnt an easy subject in general. If lectures are a long time period, she makes them go by pretty quickly.

She is the best math professor i had at here on campus, she is organized, gives you note packets for each unit, there are 4 units and four test, 2 grade assignments each unit, if you pay attention in class and practice what she gives you will do fine. Definitely recommend taking Calc 1 with her!!

She is very tough on late assignments-no excuses. She was always making herself available when you need helpextra explanation and was very nice about it. However, there were some issues with her posting wrong assignmentstests and that really screwed up my schedule.
